Ik a lot of you put in your bios how you got into the knotting biz but a lot of you don't so here's your thread 😊I got a kit for Christmas and learned off the instructions in there and found patterns online after that, and recently found this site 😊 |

I learns how to make a chevron when I was 5. I asked for embroidery floss for my birthday many many years later for no particular reason. I got a pack for my birthday which is in October, but I didn’t make anything until January 2023. I watched a bunch of tutorials by random people off YouTube soo the information I got was very scattered and it all clicked after a while, and now I make bracelets constantly!

I bought a kit from Walmart in 2010. Only knew how to make candy stripes back then. I used it for a few months then quit. And then one day in 2022 I decided to give friendship bracelets another try and now I learned how to make normal and alpha patterns 🙂.

Originally my little siblings were the ones who wanted to make bracelets, so my parents bought some embroidery thread for them! However they both got bored of them pretty quickly (I think it was the amount of time it took to make a bracelet lol). So then the thread just sat there for months, until one day I decided that I wanted to try to make one as enjoyed making the rainbow looms ones. I ended up making a chevron, and enjoyed it! My partner and I were out shopping and found some cute (but overpriced) pride jewelry, and being the crafty person I am I offered to make some for him. Looking for bracelet tutorials led me to this site, and I ended up staying bc I like making alpha patterns/pixelart despite not knowing how to do alphas yet 😅 It's definitely on my list to learn though, I'm just distracted with learning cross stitch rn.

So back in November I was wanting to start a new project and learn a new hobby so I was scouring the Internet and found bracelets on Pinterest. So the next time I went to Walmart I bought one of those bracelet kits and began making candystripes and learned chevrons about two weeks later. I continued up and made Normals because Alphas scared me 🤣 Then I saw a color switching tutorial in May when I was away from home and didn’t have my supplies 🤣 So I told myself I would try for the third time on making Alphas because something clicked and I understood. Then even I came home I made a enby pride frog by KrazyKnotz and have been making alphas ever since (:

I went to a camp where they offered friendship bracelet making as a club you could join so I joined and I absolutely hated it for a while until I discovered cheveron
