I have a bracelet maker that I usually use as it has slots to hold strings, but start them on my bed rail (embarrassing lol but I broke a bone falling out of bed 😭)

I use a clipboard that I've taped with packaging tape to a lap desk (to give more surface area). I like to sit cross-legged on the sofa and watch tv with my family when I make bracelets. 😄I also use a little scotch tape to secure the bracelet as I work on it because sometimes it likes to move around even when clipped. |

I use a clipboard and some tape usually, but it’s always uncomfy to be hunched over knitting

Tape and a remote control. My mom likes it bc it makes finding the remote much easier

When making a normal pattern, I close the lid of the string box on it (does that make sense?) but with alpha patterns I tape it to the top.

i use a pillow and a safety pin lol. when i get further down a bracelet and i feel the need to secure it more, i just use more safety pins to hold the bracelet down as if it were tape =)

I didn't want to buy a clipboard and I do my bracelets at my small desk so I didn't have any attachment options on the desk. I was determined to find a home-made solution that didn't involve tape (I don't like how the tape frays the thread). I ended up using a circular corkboard (the kind you can use to put hot dishes on), sticking a nail through it (which I use to secure bracelet) and putting one of those non-slip rubber rug things under the corkboard to keep it from sliding around on my desk. I may have to cave in and get a clipboard at some point, but it's working so far.

@AngelFire3 a good alternative to a clip board is using a binder clip and a piece of card board or a book as some sort of diy clip board. For me it works even better than an actual clip board, because the binder clip is more secure than the clip of the clip board. |

@halokiwi Thank you so much for the tip! I hesitated about buying a clipboard because I always find the clip spring loses its effectiveness really fast but the binder clip is a great idea!

I shut the end of the bracelet into a container and try to hold the container with my legs
