If you like fantasy but want to get into sci fi then I’d try the Lunar Chronicles, although maybe you’ve already read it! I’m currently obsessed with it lol

Gail Carson Levine is great, although her books are generally more short if you like longer books. Also Wings of fire is a rly cool series and so are the hotel between, the phantom tollbooth, and the Wingfeather saga

His Dark Materials!! I will always adore the series. It is so beautifully written. Just the right amount of scenery description so you feel like you are there with the right balance of fantasy and modern/present world vibes. It is the perfect choice if you want to explore different worlds and creatures, but you still want a central struggle that you can relate to. I firmly believe it is the best coming of age story out there, and an extremely endearing dive into the romantic and platonic relationships of youth that juxtaposes the fear of growing up and the power of fate. And DO NOT judge the books by the 2009 movie. |
