What to do with scrap thread?

Hello there, I have a TON of scrap thread, and I feel like I'm wasting money if I throw it out. I'd love to hear how my fellow bracelet makers use their thread. Please comment any ideas, bracelet making related or not. 🙂

It depends on how long the scrap thread is. If it's quite small, you could make a rag-rug bracelet, like the other user said. If it's longer, you could try embroidery.

A rag-rug, as previously suggested...OR when you only have a few knots of a color in an alpha pattern, you can use scraps instead of cutting new thread.

if you crochet/knit I would personally use it as stuffing. but if its knotted scrap thread I can always find a trash can around my house.

You can make alphas with empty rows with scrap thread

i guess a way to get rid of a lot of scrap thread is to use it for stuffing, like if you were to sow a stuffed animal or something you could stuff it with that! I’ve seen people use many different replacements for stuffing like yarn, so maybe embroidery floss works too?

I make what I call Go Green keychains that'll be freebies on my future website. I also use the longer threads for alpha bases.

You can also use them for alphas that don't require a lot of that color
