Clipboard with tape on it! I have a plastic clip board though and the clasp on it isn't very good either.

I use an old yearbook. It’s from the worst year of school ever. and I binder clip the strings on there in the order i need them in. works better than any clipboard or tap

Safety pin>>> but I prefer masking tape over a clipboard any day because my clipboards are cheap and the bracelets slip out easily

Neither. I get an old box of beads and put the bracelet in it and clip it closed so it’s more secure

Clipboard I like being able to take it around so I can make my bracelet, in bed ,outside or in the kitchen waiting for my food to finish.

You guys may think I'm crazy. I have been making bracelets for about a decade now, and I started out using a safety pin. But for the last maybe 5-7 years I don't use anything. I hold the bracelet in my left hand and knot with my right. This way I can take it with me if I am ever leaving the house and think I could have time to work on it. It took a while for my hands to get used to it but it is all muscle memory and second nature now. Once I work up the courage to start making alphas I will probably use a clipboard though.
