what do y’all use for your wavy hair? i have natural beachy type waves and i use cantu wave whip. i also use some gel i found in our restroom i believe it’s called “gorilla snot sport gel” (it’s my brothers from when he was in middle school and it works soo good! it has a amazing hold) i’m just using this for now bc i just started wearing my hair natural. so if y’all have any product recommendations or want to share what you use i’d love to hear! <333 |

defo agree with the brush only when it's wet! ^ a full wavy routine would depend on your hair texture - is your hair thick/thin, coarse/fine etc My hair is slightly fine / thin, so I do shampoo, conditioner, then I use some leave-in on wet hair and lastly I smooth over the tiniest amount of hair oil when it's damp. If I want my waves to have a bit more shape then I'd do some mousse after I apply leave in 😊 😊 The gel sounds like it works well with your hair so you can keep it in your routine! It's usually a bit of trial and error to determine what products and amounts work best for you but you're off to a good start 😄 check out a curly hair chart to see what type your waves falls under and then you can search youtube for hair routines of people with that hair type (for reference I have v mild waves so I'm a type 2A) 😊 good luck! |

@tkd2010 if i were you, i would try and identify your hair type ( 2a, 2b, 2c etc.) and go from there. there’s also people online on pintrest and tik tok who know what to do. curl vitality has good pointers on stuff like that. i’d also talk to a friend or someone you know with similar hair texture as they could know one stuff hope that helped🙃

my friend uses mousse after every shower as well as specific conditioner for wavy hair, and her hair always looks really nice!

i’m 2b/2c and i comb it in the shower while wet and let it air dry. if i want less frizz i add some mousse and curl cream. if you have looser waves, (1b-2bish) i’d recommend using wave cream

@xc2024 that's literally all I do too. I refuse brushing it when it's dry because it looks kind of eh and it hurts so much more (I have a sensitive scalp lol)I wash it 3 or 4 times a week |
