So I was having a late night with one of my friends, and mentioned how I have pride flags all over my room and said that she wishes her parents were like that and let her hang up flags n stuff. She says that she's out to her parents and they are okay with it, but they think its a bad lifestyle. She says that her other LGBTQ+ friends parents do things to show pride and support for their kid, and she wishes her parents did stuff like that. I want to be there to support and celebrate who she is, especially if she doesn't get that at home, but I don't want to be that person who goes overboard and buys them everything rainbow and expect them to love it and fit under stereotypes etc. If you know what I mean. I was thinking to make her a bracelet of her flag, but I'm still brainstorming. What do you think?

making a bracelet would be a great idea! also since she said that she wishes her parents would let her have that stuff, I don’t think it would be so bad to get her a flag or two. My friend makes these tiny pride flags out toothpicks and paper you could try something like that so she can have something without it being huge and her parents being upset

that could be cool! but idk usually if someone draws me something it ends up in a drawer I like the idea of a bracelet because she can hide it or be open with it it’s her choice

a bracelet sounds like a good idea, but if she's worried about her parents finding out you could do her flag instead of rainbow. like you could do a pink gradient if she is lesbian etc 🙂
