I'm a language obsessed linguist but I won't pretend I spesk everything fluently like a lot of us do, haha!I'm definitely fluent in English and German, I'll just barely get by in French and Latin (extremely useful /s) and I know very basic Japanese, Dutch, Spanish and DGS (that's the equivalent to ASL that's used in Germany). (All of the latter ones, I've only picked up for a year or two and then forgot a lot about them, sadly...) I have a lot of resources to learn Irish because I've been wanting to learn that for ages, but since it's not exactly the most practical language to know, I always end up picking up some of the pther ones again, to improve on them (or not forget them)... But I'd be happy to talk more in any of these! |

When I said "I won't pretend to speak everything fluently like a lot of us do", I meant linguists. I was not trying to talk down on anyone here in this thread!It's just embarassingly common when I talk to people that they'll claim to be fluent in 15 languages or something. Just wanted to clear that up! I think the languages represented by everyone in this thread are extremely cool! |

@Aussie_Izz lol yeah I can speak fluently and write in french as well as in english✨ sometimes In my notebooks I start writing in English but later on I switch to French without realizing it😂

Probably Czech because it enables me to speak to my grandma, but I really like the feel of German

I think the most fun for me is Dutch. Most Germans think it's funny because it sounds like drunk German. But it's kinda funny and beautiful at the same time I think. 🙂

I’ve been learning French for about seven years now, so I’m pretty good at understanding the language. I need to work on listening skills though bc whenever I hear native French speakers, I sometimes miss a lot of what they say due to the speed at which they communicate. But my speaking, reading, and writing skills are pretty good! I also speak a bit of spanish, but I definitely need to work on my Spanish speaking skills, and I can understand and read more than I can speak or write.

They really are all beautiful, you're right 🙂It's almost sad that humans don't live long enough to learn every language. Oh, French buddies @nev_m_07 ! That's also where I am at. I keep slowing down audio books to 70% so it's easier for me to understand. What's your native language? |

@Aussie_Izz hmmm im not sure…😅I think I’d say English is easier to write in because in my opinion, the grammar is less complicated than in French. Lol because French has a lot of accents and stuff, little details you have to pay attention to.
