1. I do competitive cheer and gymnastics. 2. I’m on varsity for both. 3. I love the bond that I make with my teammates and the fact that we push each other to be better athletes. 4. It bugs me that people don’t respect my sports and that they call them “easy” or that they are “girl sports”, when in reality they are hard and dangerous (I have the scars and bruises to prove it lol). But even our AD doesn’t respect our sport even though we have division championships and it’s really annoying.

1)xc/tf 2)varsity 3)i love running + the fact that i get to run with people that i am close with all the time. but the looks we ahave gotten from people seeing us run by on easy days thst we tske music and when a song we all know comes on you know we are having a good time, its so funny, like people don’t judge, we know we are ridiculous lol. 4)i dislike the uniforms. sorry coaches but short spandex are not for me, like i just wanna wear shorts, but the uniform is spandex and they dont fit 😐

1.volleyball 2.varsity 2 years! 3. I love the feeling of being on the court! 4. I hate cliques and "mean girls" on the team. My team had issues with that bc the seniors thought they had "superiority" over the underclassmen so as a sophomore this year it wasn't the best. But ill be a junior soon and ill treat my underclassmen right!

@xc2024 that’s really annoying. I hate how all of the girls get really short uniforms or have to play in skirts (like our field hockey and tennis teams have skirts). And for track and volleyball they have to wear really short shorts too. And they all feel super uncomfortable with it.

@Annie_Whe yea we had that issue this season too. The upperclassmen were really mean to us sophomores and they were saying that we needed to be “put in our place”. They were threatening us and saying that if we tried to overstep them that we would regret it. They ended up getting kicked off of the team but it’s just really annoying. Like if we’re a team then it shouldn’t matter what grade you’re in. And the juniors really can’t talk bc they were literally just underclassmen last year…

1. XC/TF. 2.Varsity. 3. I love running, and the team is amazing I met so many new people when i joined and cannot wait for track season. 4. My least favorite thing is getting catcalled. I used to go on runs around my neighborhood, and it is filled with old men and middle schoolers and I would get weird men try and talk to me as i passed by. It made me super uncomfortable considering I was wearing short shorts.

@coco_222 that’s disgusting… I hate how women, especially teens and young women have to deal with nasty old men even though all they want is to work out. I’ve been wanting to go to the gym but I’m worried about the pervs there so I just work out at home or at my gymnastics center.

1. Swim2. We don’t have varsity or jv 3. I love the team aspect 4. Our coach is new so she doesn’t really coach (I’ve been swimming for a really long time so I know when a teachable moment should happen) |

1. My sport is softball 🥎 I’m a catcher but I also love playing basketball 2. I am trying my best to be on my schools varsity team as an 8th grader. My school starts in 7th and goes through 12th. I consider myself a highschool athlete because I applied to my school for 9th grade but was accepted for 8th. I had good grades I just was forced to repeat. 3. I love love love competition. Games are so fun and bring me so much adrenaline. 4. I don’t like how we never get recognition. People just don’t understand how hard being a student athlete is.

1. I play softball for high school in the spring and a club team for the rest of the year. 2. In my district we don’t have middle school sports so we can start playing high school ones in 7th grade and you take a bus from the middle school to the high school after school. My 7th grade year I was on the 9a team ( we have 9a, b squad, jv, and varsity.) I am also very young for my grade so all the other kids were much older than me which was kinda scary and I’m a smaller person. Last year, (8th grade) I surprisingly made b squad and I was not expecting it because record numbers of kids tried out ( there are 56 spots in the program and over 75 kids tried out). I was again the youngest and shortest player on my team but I actually played a lot better overall than I thought I would. I also had a minor ankle sprain and I had to miss out on a week 😢. This year I am hoping for jv but I’m not sure if I will make it or not. I am a pitcher and middle infielder in case if u were wondering. I am also a righty contact hitter and bunter so I usually get to lead off or be second in the batting order. 3. I like playing and learning from kids older than me and it’s just very competitive overall. 4. I hate the extreme political coaching, the rich, spoiled kids, the jealous older kids that bully my friend and me, and they never seem to be very organized. Also I feel like most of the fund raising goes to varsity bc our uniforms suck and are feilds are worse but then jv and varsity get new stuff all the time and their feilds are super nice.
