@smpkyjedi i also thought that too! i thought i was gonna get pulled over lolll. idk if you drive but i’ve had people turn in the backlight before and it makes it really hard to see in the rear view mirror. i think that’s why it’s so berated lol. but yes i also thought that and i was like “why have a backlight if you aren’t allowed to turn it on”

i thought that u could look in someone’s eyes and the number of twinkles indicated how many children they were gonna have lol. i tend to take things literally and so when my mom used to talk about when me and my siblings were twinkles in her eye, i thought she meant that literally. then i learned how babies are conceived and was distraught that i had been misled lol.

i thought that when a plane flew north it also went up, so i was basically thinking the earth was an up and down flat map 🤔 i was so scared of flying to canada bc it was north and i was worried we would fly into space 💀

my music teacher told me he used to think every time you sneezed you died for like a second and that’s why ppl said bless you 💀 and he said he was in like middle/elementary school too 😭 too old to think that 💀

omg @sage-wolf i thought that too!!!! i used to look at the signs above the highway and when it said north i would be so confused bc in my mind, if flying cars didn’t exist yet, how could a car go up?

since my parents told me how i got my eye color, i thought your eye color just changes naturally (dead wrong 🤪) and that if people wanted babies, they just got babies 😜 😜

my friend's mom told me when i was little not to pick my nose because if i stuck my finger to far up, there were chopper things that would cut my finger off and then i wouldn't be able to hold a spoon to eat ice cream (we were about to have desert)

Once I was on a road trip with my grandparents and when it got dark out, I had turned the car light on for whatever reason, and then they told me that I had to turn them off and that I had to turn my ipad brightness down bc it was illegal to have lights on in the car when it was dark out. Turns out they just didn’t want the car lights on and they didn’t want to see the glare from my ipad. I didn’t even figure out that it wasn’t illegal until probably around a year ago. So basically I went 10+ years believing that it was illegal to have car lights on in the dark. 😂

when i was little, and i was being “bad” my mom would tell me, “¡suficiente! o la policía va a venir a conseguir te” which means, “enough! amor the police will come and get you” so i always thought that is you misbehaved the police would come. 🤣 😂
