The last dragon chronicles. I read this from when I was nine through when I was thirteen and I LOVED it!! It gets SUPER complex, and keeps you on edge. I was probably a bit young to be reading the third book and on, just because it gets a little intense, but its probably perfect for middle school- high school.

Ooh! And "Dragon slippers" wich is about a girl who comes from a poor family who sacrifices her to the dragon so that a prince Will come and save her so that she and her family can go live in the castle with him. But the girl meets and talks with the dragon and he ends up giving her a pair of slippers just so that she will go away. But after she starts wearing the slippers strange things start happening... super good series! I read this when I was probably nine or ten and have re-read the first book MULTIPLE times. It has kind of become my comfort series ❤️

Have you read The School for Good and Evil? Its a fun trilogy that's kinda similar to The Land of Stories (which I also loved!!) Hope this helps! 😄

Have you read the grishaverse books (Leigh Bardugo)? There is a trilogy (Shadow and Bone trilogy) and two duologies (Six of Crows and Rule of Wolves). Imo the best ones are the Six of Crows books but you'll understand better if you read the Shadow and Bone books before (it's not necessary, but SoC assumes you're familiar with the world, which is very complex). Rule of Woles isn't that good imo but you'll want to read it to know what happened with the characters after the other two series.
