@wenny There is no definitively fair price that works for everyone. What I can suggest including in your calculation of bracelet prices (besides material cost) is (1) the time cost/opportunity cost for you to spend time making the bracelets and sourcing for material, (2) the quality of your work, and (3) the artistic/meaningful value of your work. Some makers also include considerations like length of the bracelet and complexity of the pattern when setting a price. The most important question, I think, is whether you want to make those bracelets for "that guy", and whether you are willing to make it at that asking price. It's perfectly ok to say no if you would rather do something else. |

You always need to factor in the time it takes to make it.See how much string one takes and then how long it takes you to make it. Minimum wage is around 7-8 dollars/hr normally(But I get paid $10/hr as a barista). If it takes you one skein and one hour to make a bracelet, then he owes you around $10.77 if you are valuing your bracelet making skills as $10/hr. If he won't take your price, then you can perhaps direct him to somebody else. Also, with help for pricing, you can look on Etsy and see what makers on etsy sell their bracelets for. Good luck! ๐ ๐ โค๏ธ |
