What type of bracelets are you making? It really depends on the amount of time it takes you to make them.

I would say that it really depends on the pattern. I’ve been thinking about prices too because I want to start selling mine. I’ve realised that people get very impressed over any bracelet and will ask if you can make them one no matter what kind. I’m currently only wearing my two cheverons and people still want me to make them bracelets. Ofc I’d charge money for them because they take a while to make

I think $10 isn't toooo bad especially if you're making these whilst having to balance school etc but like everyone else said it'd depend on the different styles. You can look at bracelet sellers on Etsy to see how they price the different patterns. Etsy also takes 6.5% from each sale so you can work out how much that comes up to and make up a small price sheet for some of the patterns you see / make regularly 😊

Your mom is probably wanting you to charge that because she wants you to value your time and craft.

while it doesn’t seem to fair to charge 10 dollars for a bracelets, the reasoning behind that steep price is the fact that its handmade. every single part of the bracelet is created by one person, no machinery whatsoever….. and even though you will profit a lot. technically, for labor costs, it is very very low. i’m going to assume that you live jn the US since you’re talking in dollars, but federal minimum wage in the US ik is like 7.50 dollars. if it takes you roughly 2 hours to make one, then technically speaking, you should be charging 14 dollars. so that’s why these bracelets, when charged, seem like a lot because $10 is a lot for a bracelet, it’s custom made. so that’s kinda the reasoning behind it seeming super expensive. honestly, depending on what it is, i’ll change it up. i usually don’t have a lot of ppl asking bc i don’t advertíse it and when people ask, and i tell them my prices, sometimes they are like “what?? 8 dollars for a keychain” and im like yup. but usually i do $5 dollars for a keychain, so like 18-24/15-25

normal bracelets would be 7 dollars, and an alpha bracelet would be 12. and even that is like “oh wow that’s expensive.” but honestly, don’t charge less than what you genuinely are willing to make them for. because of you do, it becomes a job, not a hobby. i also just sorta eyeball it for every person based on the number of colors and strings… but that’s kinda the average bc i don’t have a lot of ppl offering to pay lol

ok because i think its too much because i normally see much lower prices for these. but i think that 10 dollars is an ok price now because some people can afford it allowing me to be able to make money. im selling these at a middle school so not many kids can afford 15 dollar bracelets

$10 for a bracelet is a lot. However, depending on what type of string you're using, how much time it takes( and skill) to make it, and what the pattern is, it may depend on that. The way I would charge for bracelets would be, - how much string it took - alpha or basic (that can make a huge difference in price) - how much time it took - and you also have to include that fact that you're working, so you gotta pay yourself!! But even for some alphas, $10 is steep, so I would write down all of that and show it to her so she can get your pov on the whole thing. |

like people said, there’s a lot of factors here. I think you can try with a price your find reasonable and hear feedbacks. You only have one photo on your profile but it looks like a good quality bracelet ! So i say start with 10 and see where it leads. As people said, it is handmade so it’s not the same thing as a cheap thing manufactured in batches 😉
