Hi, I have a problem I've been wanting help with for a while but never get it. Here it is... I come from a family with 11 cousins on my mom's side. The youngest is 12 and the oldest is 24. I have 3 siblings to that also count as even younger at 11 and 7 years old so the youngest is technically 7. I'm 15 and and I have a cousin that is only 2 weeks younger than me that WAS my friend (I'll explain more later). We have been all getting together for years with family reunions once or even twice a year so we all grew up with each other. Lets cut to the chase... None of them like me. They like all 3 of my siblings and include them in everything but don't include me. Idk why! I'm nice and respectful to them and never talk badly about them yet they always ignore me and treat me like I'm 5 while they treat the other 15 year old like she is gold! I just don't understand it!! Her and I were friends for years and she always included me in everything until last year when we had a family reunion in Idaho. We pitched in and rented a giant vacation home. Everyone started arriving and normally her and I are hugging at this point but she passed me and later gave me a awkward hug. It was so fake. Later, she continued to ignore me while the cousins acted all nice and included her in everything. Like always, she would be sitting next to me and they would ask her and everybody else in the room one by one (even the 7 year old) and ignore me. Even if I spoke up and said I wanted to! It is so mean and unfair. The cousin and I sometimes talk but our friendship is pretty much over. I now have a wedding to go to in Sept. 24th and they all will be there unfortunately. My nana used to help me with this because she was one of the only one that believed me but she passed away in August of cancer so I'm even more lost now. I miss her. 😭 Do you have any advice for me? Btw, I have friends and all of my family (except the cousins) like me. I just wanted to make it clear that everybody doesn't hate me. In fact, all my aunts and uncles really like me. It is just their kids that don't fsr.

Maybe you should talk to your siblings about it. Maybe you did something that they didn’t like but u had no idea. Maybe your siblings talked to them and they were talking about you behind your back or smth. If they don’t know I would just continue to be respectful and nice to them but if they aren’t including you then maybe you could hang out with someone else. Like maybe your aunts or smth. I have 3 cousins on my moms side and my sister and they are all between 9-11 and I’m 14 so sometimes I want to hang out with them but on the 4th of July we always have water wars and they always gang up on me so then I just go sit with the adults or help my grandma with the cooking.

My cousins treat my one sister like that. We force them to include her. Though at this point we won’t from being close to hating their visits because of that, but totally their fault.I would talk to your siblings and ask them to make sure you’re included |
