Im new to making friendship bracelets but I’m enjoying it so much. I’ve posted some of my work on my social media and folks are asking what I charge. I’m not gonna low ball myself so I go do some research to see what others charge. Looking on instagram and Etsy to see what people I admire charge.I’m curious how much anyone who sells their bracelets is charging? |

Well I’m not currently selling, but the “formula” I used to calculate prices was essentially the number of strings divided by 2, plus the number of hours it took to complete the project, plus however much packaging it would cost. So let’s say I was making a 14 string bracelet and it took me 8 hours to complete: base price would be 7 dollars, plus 8 dollars, which is $15. Then if the packaging was $2 in total, add that as well, so the total price would be $17. Then what I would do is subtract the shipping price, so if shipping was $5.75, I would charge around $13 for the bracelet, plus the $5.75 for shipping, which means you would make around $18.75 in total. I hope that makes sense, and good luck with your business endeavors! 🙂

@nev_m_07 I might be wrong but if you did it that way you would only make the amount you’re charging for the bracelet, in this case $13

@knotnotkni well technically, yes, bc you don’t profit off of the shipping costs, as that will amount will be used to actually ship the item. Thanks for pointing that out, I should have included that as well.

i dont sell them, but i would also take into account the cost of string, like if you use more expensive brands vs cheaper string charge differently ig
