Hello Everyone!! I’d love to hear your particular methods of undoing knots and mistakes! I’m just using my fingernail and pulling out each knot one by one, there has to be a faster way!!

Some people use a needle or safety pin to help pull it apart but when you bring in sharp tools you have to be careful not to shred your strings. I just used my nails because I know I won’t damage my string that way.

I normally use a safety pin or and thumbtack from my bulletin board, you could also use a needle as mentioned by other people!

Someone on here recommended a cricut weeder and it’s amazing! Gets out knots very easily and it’s less than $4 on Amazon. It’s very sharp so you do have to watch out for that

I use the eye side tapestry needle. I don’t use the sharp one because I don’t want it to get stuck in the strands of the thread.

If I have a lot of knots to undo I will find which row I have messed up on then I will try to use a needle if I can’t find one I will pull on the row until the spot I messed up on is undone and then I fix my mistake and continue on with my bracelet

I use a plastic toothpick. Sharp enough to get into the knot quickly, but not too sharp as to cut the strings.

i use a push pin from the back to get out the second half (which I tie tighter than the first half), and then usually I can get the first half out with my nail. i push the pin under the knot and pull outward 🙂

i always make sure that I don’t pull with the sharp part though, so that the strings don’t break. a push pin or embroidery needle is better than a safety pin for that reason.
