ive seen people use tape and clipboards while making bracelet, and i was curious about which one you guys find easier to use. because i often find myself struggling with tape to a point where i tape my bracelet down with duck tape because its the only tape that works for me 💀

It’s spelled duct tape, i think. I use masking tape and it works kinda well

I use clear packing tape or masking tape. I find it easier and more stable for me. But use whatever is easier for you! 😊

Clipboard mostly, the only exeptioons for me are really big Patterns. Those I prefer to tape down. But actually before I did those two things I always held the Braclet while knotting it. There aare plenty of options to choose from 🙂

Both. I usually start with a clipboard and end up using the tape for when I add new threads or if I need to keep the whole thing steady

I use a safety pin and just put it through the loop :] you can put it through a cloth backpack/ jeans and it works great, especially when you’re on the go :]

I love using clipboards or binder clips bc they keep the strings down really well. When I used to use packing tape, the strings would stick to it and sometimes it would leave a sticky residue on my bracelet or make the fibers in the bracelet rlly frayed and it looked bad. So I switched to binder clips and they work great!

@damila @dracula // just googled it bc I was curious myself. So “duct tape” is the type of tape, while “duck tape” refers to the specific brand. But because the brand Duck Tape is so widely popular, most people just refer to all duct tape as Duck Tape, similarly to how people call all bandages “BandAids,” even though BandAid is a specific brand. 🙂

@nev_m_07 i couldn't find a clipboard so i stuck to using tape and i would have the same problem with the sticky residue from the tape onto the bracelet

I don't think that I've ever used tape! I like that when I use a clipboard, I can take my bracelet wherever I want to. I also use a binder clip when beginning the bracelet. I just attatch it to the top of the clipboard and then put the string under the clip on the clipboard too and it works really well. 😊

I used tape and a clipboard, but once my projects got bigger, I needed more play-room. So I came up with an invention which really made my life easier. I made a tutorial on how to make it… check out the tutorial “Loca-Board”. Under my bio or just in the tutorial section.
