ok so at my school we have this barn with gymnastics mats in it called “mat room”. we go in there and do “mat drills” it’s basically starting by chopping your feet in different positions the doing seat rolls, forward rolls, or whatever they say. then at the end you dive. do y’all’s schools have this. i thought they did but our athletic director said that this is the one thing most schools don’t focus on and that’s why we do it (and for safety ofc) so do y’all’s schools have this?

@hazelmakes nope we have 3 bathrooms that we can use. but one time this year there was a rumor that someone planted a bomb in one of the bathrooms….but we don’t have a lot of vandalism.

i dont have gym anymore. its not mandatory after 8th grade and i run xc so im not tryna get injured during gym

@xc2024 oh i don’t have pe i have athletics so idk if pe does. only athletics, summer workouts, and sports do matroom. but i get not wanting to get injured cuz you definitely can

@xc2024 ik there have been two injuries. one years ago someone ran into a wall and (one boy who is now a coach here) dove and messes up his shoulder so…

@hazelmakes yep, there are 2000 students in my school, but its between 2 buildings next to eachother if that makes sense, so i have classes in both, and there is one girl’s bathroom open in each, due to a combo of vaping, drugs, and vandalism. we also had security guards to catch people using drugs but one of them got caught using drugs with students so 🤷🏻♀️. am i the only one with security guards?

@xc2024 my school has only like 240 ish kid so we only have one security guard😂
