HeyyyyI got my expander in s month ago and have just stopped turning it. I get my braces on in a couple weeks, and thanks to the extra turns I HAVE A FREAKING GAP. Ughhh gap teeth can look kool on some people but on me I look like a 8 year old with one front tooth out. Sorry I needed to vent |

I’m really sorry! Is the gap in your two front teeth? If so as soon as you get your braces on it should close in a few weeks (mine did at least) I didn’t have an expander so I don’t really know what to say. But I’m sorry this is happening and I wish the best for you! Hope this helps!💛

The braces should fix it in no time! They do hurt for a day or two after each appointment but it will be totally worth it for the end result! ❤️

i had an expander too and a huge gap, but now im nearly a year into my braces journey and its conpletely gone. sadly i got my new wire a couple days ago and its pokey

I completely agree with what everyone else is saying! As someone who went through 2 pallete expanders and 2 sets of braces, I know that it will be completely unnoticeable in no time!! Also I know from experience it might seem suppper obvious to you, but other ppl prob don't even notice it!

Same thing happened to me when I got an expander! It closed almost right after I got braces. It’s really nothing to worry about. If you don’t like the way it looks just remember it’s only temporary.

@daisies101 pokey wires are the worst, i used to get so mad when id have to deal with it for 8 weeks or go back for them to fix it
