So, I recently started a campaign with several of my friends. My character is a elf druid. I was wondering if anyone had any tips. I'm rlly new (literally just yesterday) so any tips about anything would be appreciated. Thank you!

Get out of your comfort zone. And I mean REALLY get out. Go all out. Accents, crazy plans, anything is possible.Another thing I find really useful is when facing a dilemma, ask yourself, what would my character do? I know it's hard to not do what you would do, but it's your elf druid that's in the game, not you. Get your spells written down. Seriously. So. Helpful. You're helping both yourself and the DM when you do this because no more flipping through the manuals or searching them up on the internet. This one is not really a tip but just a thing you should be aware of: spells aren't everything. By this I mean that you don't have to turn into a rat to sneak past the guards or cast a spell to intimidate an enemy. Yes, a lot of them are really powerful and that helps, but you might just be wasting a perfectly good spell slot for something useless. Use ability checks and weapons as well. And I'm not saying spells are bad-- they're not. They're just not good for EVERYTHING. If you have any questions, ask them away! D&D is so fun and awesome and I love when someone is interested! |

I don't have an account and I've managed without it, but I've heard it's very useful. Because of that I don't exactly have a lot to say about it, but if you look at the website and find some useful things in there, go ahead and make yourself an account!
