The 2021 movie "Tre nøtter til Askepott" is the Norwegian remake of the 1973 Czechoslovak/East German movie "Tři oříšky pro Popelku"/"Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel". In some European countries for example Germany where I live it's a Christmas tradition to watch the original movie. Last year Norway where it is also a tradition to watch the movie made a remake starring the singer Astrid S as Cinderella. I think she is absolutely gorgeous.I love the original movie because of how modern it still feels on its own but also compared to other fairy-tale movies filmed at the time. The remake is also wonderfully modern and has the most beautiful costumes, landscape, horses and castle. Who has seen either of the movies? Is it a tradition where you live too?
