to make campaigns more interesting for u and also the players, dont be afraid to change the plot of the campaign story thingy from what you've already written (or if ur using a prewritten story campaign thingy, dont be afraid to change whatever's written there) if it seems to fit the story. for example, if ur players were supposed to go find a tower full of goblins, but seem to be rlly rlly intent on building a mine and going underground, make them find an underground cave of goblins and continue the story from there. that way they didnt waste a billion years digging a hole in the ground and not find anything. also, customize the story so it suits ur players. i had a group of kids once who loved unicorns and animals and so i made a whole campaign that was all abt befriending puppies and fighting goblins. for example, if what u had planned was that a friendly townsperson would run up to ur players and give them an important message from the king, but ur players seem to love puppies, make it so that its a talking puppy that delivers the message instead. and lastly, dont depend too much on the dice, it gets rlly boring if u have to roll a dice for everything u do. lol i hope this helps!

@SusuKnots Thx! My players trust everyone when they maybe shouldn’t so their first villain was an adorable gnome. I then gave them a teleportation map that lets them go wherever they like, only once tho. Now they’ve started a war against the gods sooo yeah
