Like the title says I want some anime recommendations! For reference I’ve only really watched shonen (mha, HxH, and Demon Slayer are some of my favorites) and I really like romance and horror manga, I’m willing to try to watch pretty much anything but I hate when there’s excessive fan service (:

Jujutsu Kaisen - shounen
Fruits Basket (remake-2019) - romance
Made in Abyss - horror (kinda)
Death Parade - kind of tragedy and existential
Code Geass - shounen with some mecha
Assasination Classroom - shounen, comedy, really good

The Promised Neverland, shonen and kinda horror, according to most people the manga is way better than the anime
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, shonen
Death Note, shonen
Haikyuu!!, shonen, it's a volleyball anime/manga lol
Jujutsu Kaisen, Shonen
Attack On Titan, shonen, don't watch it if you don't wanna see gore lol
all of those are pretty popular so I'm sorry if you've already watched them and my list is useless ;-;

The promised neverland is super good! season 2 is kinda bad though and the manga is way better. Also your lie in april is a good anime. its pretty sad at the end but other then that its good! (also ik you said anime but if you want a manga rec read from the red fog) 😊

I don't watch a lot of shounen (read: I don't watch any shounen) but I have some recommendations!

- Horimiya is a great rom com and it's genuinely so wholesome and I have never found a better romance anime.
- OddTaxi is a great mystery that makes really really good use of the Chekhov's gun rule where everything mentioned has to have a purpose and it only wraps up right at the end. I'm not a big fan of mysteries, but I really enjoyed this one.
- If you want a comedy that's in the more shounen genre, Daily Lives of High School Boys made me laugh really hard (and I'm not even in the target audience)
- Violet Evergarden has a post-war setting and it featured human compassion and emotion so perfectly. I cried. A lot.
- Your Name was a really good romance anime movie and the animation was gorgeous

My list is way longer but those are the closest to your tastes that I can guess because my real expertise is Slice of Life genre stuff lol. Also, yes to the person who suggested Your Lie in April. It's my all-time favorite.
