Ok, so I'm currently reading Circe which has been good but at the same time I'm kind of lacking motivation to read atm. Any tips to help on that? Anyways, I haven't been able to read much lately but I do LOVE The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. It was such a beautiful story and I highly recommend it.

@mintycorgi You mentioned Heartless by Marissa Meyer as one of your favorite books and I've heard a lot of people like it. So I was wondering if you could tell me what it's about and why you liked it?

I don’t have a favorite but some of my favorites are; the Green Ember by S. D. Smith, Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George, and The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

@ari_knots sure! It’s a fractured fairy tale about Alice in Wonderland. It tells the story of the Queen of Hearts when she was not evil yet. The whole book is about how she becomes evil, but at times while reading it, it doesn’t feel that way. It just feels like a normal romance fantasy. Basically, she meets this guy, Jest, and they fall in love. She meets a lot of other friends and has the most fun of her life. If that sounds cheesy, I promise you it’s not lol
But then, things start to take a dark and depressing turn.
I‘m not that good at explaining things, but one thing I‘d like you to know is that this book, contrary to other fantasy books, does NOT have a happy ending, in fact, it has a quite depressing and sad ending. I don’t cry easily when reading books, but I was near sobbing when an unexpected… not to spoil things, but an unexpected twist happened at the end. It’s very easy, while reading, to forget that this book does not have a happy ending, which makes it all too shattering when you reach the end. This book brought me through dramatic and sad and happy emotions while reading; I would totally recommend that you read it.

Sorry if my explanation is kind of bad! I didn’t want to spoil all that much from the book. Here’s Marissa Meyer‘s description: “Long before she was the terror of Wonderland—the infamous Queen of Hearts—she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.”

Hope this helps!💕

I like sci-fi, and my favorite was "Artemis" by Andy Weir.

It's about a young woman, Jazz, who lives in the first and only colony on the moon. It's interesting because the protagonist isn't a "good person" by many standards. I would say she's "chaotic good" - like, she cares about her city and the people around her, but she does some unethical things for personal gain. Yet, somehow, she's instantly likeable.
