Hey! Thanks for stopping by!So a few weeks ago, this guy I really like said in front of me and my friends he thinks I'm hot. Long story short, my friend used to like this guy. I feel really pressured to hate this dude because my friends say they think he's an awful person. I told them I don't like anyone, and they believed me. I told them a lot that I think he's awful. I feel terrible for lying, I really do because now things are hard. I sit by him in class and I got to know him a little bit and he's really nice! That just made me lilke him even more. He seems like he really is trying to figure out if I like anyone for a very mysterious reason. I really want to tell him I like him but I don't know how. Maybe he'll tell my friends? Or his friends? I'm just really scared of rejection. Does anyone know how to tell him in a casual way???! HELP MEEEEEEE PLZZZZ! THanks for your time! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ |

id definitely be careful. mainly if ur good friends who said he was a bad person. he could definitely be toxic by putting being kind forefront but ultimately showing his true colors. i would also be wary about him calling u hot. if he used the hot specifically, i’d say that’s a red flag bc the word hot is more of an objectifier. if he called u pretty or cute, it would be different. but the word hot to me seems like a red flag. he may actually want to get together w u, depending on how he’s trying to figure out if u like someone. if he’s asking bc yk he’s going to tease u about this person u like, then he prob will reject u. i’ve done that before. if hes genuinely trying to figure out if u like someone and getting annoyed when u dodge it, he may like u. if you want a better answer, you can pm me and tell me more about him and maybe i can ask some of my friends if ur really serious lol.

Oops sorry anyway he said I looked hot and um yea we broke up not just because of that but because of other times we’re stuff like that would happen his friends we really bad to me and he didn’t really do anything he kinda encouraged it be careful but also if you like him and you do get rejected and he turns out to be a jerk you didn’t really miss out be careful I don’t know them but if you genuinely like them you should hint abt your feelings and see his reactions you can gauge if he likes you and then tell him if you think hr might feel the same way so. to summarize becausethat was probably confusing you should tell him if you think he feels the same way but definitely evaluate and be careful but make sure that you

So the thing with your friends saying don’t date him or whatever could be jealousy. But also, if you don’t find him annoying, then why not hang out with him, yk? Additionally, as long as he’s nice to ppl and doesn’t have a history of hurting ppl emotionally, then it should be fine. But like the others said, just keep an eye out for any red flags.

Ditto the advice above plus this small tip to deduce what he’s really like: consider how he generally treats other people, including strangers, especially when he’s not particularly attentive to what’s happening (like what does he do when someone accidentally walks into him, or falls or drops stuff or is bullied) or when he’s out and about (e.g. how does he treat servers and cashiers)

I just want to clarify that this guy is not awful, and it's not just me saying that.My friends say that because they are VERY CLEARLY trying to make it seem like they hate him but just want attention from him. He is very nice to people and hasn't had any history of hurting anyone in any sort of way. Thanks for your time! |

So I am in a similar situation, (long story short I really like this guy, but I have only told a few of my friends that I like him, and I am terrified to tell him) if you really like this guy then follow your heart! I know this sounds corny, but if your friends are good friends they will understand, I would make sure that you tell your friends that you like him before you tell him. Good luck!
