she hates me because i support lgbt and won’t just accept it. she said she wants to have a convo about it and i’m really scared cause she’s gonna say i’ll go to h*ll if i believe that stuff

Stand up for what you believe in! Just remember she is your mom, so obviously you have to respect her. Just let her know that if she was part of the Lbgtq family, she would want support. Listen to her side of the conversation, but just remember she can’t change what you believe in. Good luck! ❤️💕

maybe tell her respectfully that she ignores the Bible verse “love your neighbor as yourself”. if you don’t respect lgbtq+ people because they are supposedly going against the Bible, you’re going against what the Bible says too. honestly I don’t think you have to be respectful towards homophobes, racists, etc. but if it could affect your safety or get you in trouble, you should.

id recommend matthew vines. he’s a christian lgbtq activist and really helped me. id listen to him bc he had a really good argument for lgbtq voices in an unconfirming christian point of view. maybe you could try listening to him and then maybe ask ur mom to go the second mile w u and listen to him too if u think he’ll help u. if he doesn’t help, i’d say that you can’t change her. but you aren’t going to hell. like @Elise64 said, the bible says love ur neighbor as urself. it’s not loving to tell someone they’re going to hell for believing something. i hope it all goes well ❤️ but really, if it’s going to put u in danger, don’t talk about it. ur safety is more important.

@smmutch animals can be homosexual, and I doubt that they have a concept of sexuality.
