Hey yall...just thought any of my fellow band kids could share some fun stories and get advice. Actually I am an unofficial band kid lol...I do color guard. If you don't know what that is....it is the flag twirlers in parades. 🙂

When I was in school I was in marching band! I played flute in high school and was a section leader, and I played in piccolo in college marching band. 😁

I’m a cheerleader, so sometimes I perform/practice with the band, but we’ve been working on our competition routine so we haven’t gotten to practice/perform with them in a while.

im in marching band! we just had our second competition yesterday, and i absolutely love it! this is my first year doing it as last year was covid, and i was just starting to learn an instrument then anyways. i play the tuba and we march with sousaphones (yes they weigh 52 pounds yes it is heavy)!

@stormii We have our third competition tomorrow and then we go to our state championships and also do the bands of america competition so that is exciting.

@workmanha good luck! competitions (especially the bus ride to them) are my favorite part of marching band 🙂 we have our finals competition on the 30th
