Hi!

So I've had a crush on this guy for a while now and I want to tell him but I don't know how. I think he likes me back because he tried to make me happy and smile this past week. I had thought that my friend had unalived and he tried to get me to smile. (my friend is ok btw) He is always talking to me, but I can't tell if he is just being like friendly or if he actually likes me....

my friends are telling me that its more than just a crush but im scared of getting heartbroken...

any thoughts?

please do it. tell himmmm. my best friend and i had been texting a lot recently and eventually he told me that he really liked me and i told him that i felt the same so it turned out rly good and we were both so happy. being heartbroken sucks. so much. but if you’re always going to be scared of it, then you’re never going to get anywhere ever. plus, being in love (idk if you’re in love but i am) outweighs the heartbreak <3 hope that helped and lmk how it goes if you decide to say smth !!

I feel like you should process out what to say. Be prepared for both answers especially for the negative answer. If you do tell him don’t go into it thinking “oh he definitely likes me back and he won’t reject me”. Go into thinking “come on you can do this” or “I’m get this out of the way”. And if you want to see if he like you as a friend or not look more carefully at his actions. By that I mean is he always staring at you, is he nervous around you sometimes, is he always wanting to talk to you. You can also be around his friends or other people to see if he gets jealous.

depends on ur previous relationship w this guy. if he’s been ur best friend for a while or just in general, then he’s prob just being friendly. if he doesn’t have any other friends, he’s also probably being friendly. if not, and he’s just coming around to it, then maybe he does. but i agree what @juliana_e said. be prepared for negative answers. it does suck to get rejected, but if it does come to that, then you can spend time aware that he doesn’t like you. id say shoot ur shot, but it is really difficult. maybe ask around and see if other ppl know or if they can inconspicuously ask him. good luck
