Can you make friends on Zoom?

This year some of my homeschool classes want me to use Zoom and interact with other kids through that. I'm going into 9th grade and I was wondering if you can make friends through Zoom and give me a few tips on how to do it. Thanks!

You can! Somewhere in the app ( depends on what you use) there should be a contact tab. Once you are in that tab there should be a + button that you can tap and it will bring up several options . In the list should be invite a zoom contact or something. The you put the email in and they have to accept you.

i have its super difficult tho because of the lack of humanness and 3d-ness lol. but id say just talk in the chat, depending on the vibe of the class, i would just say what i felt like saying in the chat. a joke or smth about the lesson and then naturally (if there are kids willing to) ppl would just join in. but some classes won’t be like that just bc of the community. don’t stress it too much. ig just be open in the chat

I would say yes! Just ask for their school email, then you can email them your phone number so you can talk outside of the meeting! I would do it that way, just so the whole class doesn’t have your number.
