@audreyt293 oooh I listen to all three of those bands. They’re really great and probably a few of my favorite bands right now. My music taste is literally all over the place lol. I listen to so many different genres and artists it’s crazy 😂 when I was younger I would only listen to Taylor Swift (kinda basic I know) and I still love her music don’t get me wrong but now I usually listen to artists like cavetown, the wallows, paramore , panic at the disco, fallout boy, beach bunny, etc. and occasionally I’ll listen to pop songs and stuff. Also don’t worry about ranting I think it’s nice when people get really into what they’re talking about 😁

*gAsP* another person who also listens to some of the same bands I do?!?! My music taste is also a little all over the place but not really to an extreme amount. Most of my favorite artists stay under the subgenre of emo but I listen to Avenged Sevenfold (a metal-ish band [I'm not good at genre-ing bands]), Machine Gun Kelly and YUNGBLUD as well which are two current pop punk artists (I've never listened to mgk's rap stuff though, I kinda hate rap). I haven't listened to Taylor Swift's music in a long time but when I still used Pandora and didn't have a specific taste in music I had some of her older songs on my playlist but I don't think I would choose to listen to her music today or anytime soon (I'm not saying her music is bad but it's just not what I would gravitate towards). I also listen to a bit of Paramore but I have less than 10 songs by them on my playlist, the other artists you listed I've either never heard of or just don't listen to their music. But boy oh boy if my past (like late March) self knew that I would start listening to mgk she would probably just say "what in the heckity heck are you talking about I don't listen to rap music!" since I did not know he did pop punk at that point, and I still wouldn't know today. But I was scrolling through my recommendations on YouTube one day and saw that he was premiering the music video for love race (feat. Kellin Quinn) and that feature is what got me since I listen to Sleeping With Sirens and Kellin is the vocalist of sws so I was curious and waited like half an hour or something until it premiered and I surprisingly liked the song so I would personally like to thank the youtube algorithm for recommending that video to me because if that didnt happen then I would be missing out on some pretty good pop punk songs 😂

@audreyt293 yup! I know it’s such a shock, right 😂. I’ve listened to a few of YUNGBLUD’s songs and they’re pretty good. I don’t know any of the other artists u mentioned but I think it’s great that you’re looking into new music and stuff. I find that a lot of the time, I stick to a few artists and don’t listen to others for a while so it takes me some time to discover new music and artists. Sometimes I’ll be super into one or two songs and listen to them on repeat and then make myself sick of them 😂 it’s not that great of a habit but somehow I keep doing it. I think my top genres are probably indie and whatever genre p!atd and fallout boy fit into (i think it would be either rock or alternative I don’t really know haha)

yeah, not many of the bands I listen to are super mainstream or popular so it's fine that you've never heard of them before (my friends have never heard of them either so I'm used to it, don't feel bad.) The habit you mentioned though, sometimes I'll do that to but its only really happened with the really popular songs that make it onto the radio, such as Centuries (fall out boy) or High Hopes (p!atd) but I'll still listen to them, I just don't listen to them often. I'm also pretty sure Panic! and Fall Out Boy are alternative rock but don't quote me on that 😂

@audreyt293 those songs are pretty great! What are your favorite panic and fallout boy songs? Mine are probably Save Rock and Roll, Centuries, and Young Volcanoes by fallout boy and Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time, There’s a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven’t Thought of It Yet and Death of a Bachelor by Panic at the Disco

Hmmmmmmmmmm, such a hard decision...lemme go scroll through my playlist for 5 hours 😂 Old Fashioned, Nine in the Afternoon, Miss Jackson, Lying Is The Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off, and The Ballad of Mona Lisa would be 5 of my favorites from Panic! "The Take Over, The Breaks Over", Novocaine, Our Lawyer Made Use Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued, America's Suithearts, and The Phoenix are 5 from the Fall Out Boy list but I also agree with all of the songs you chose (because let's be honest, you can't choose JUST ONE favorite song from Fall Out Boy or Panic! at the Disco)
