Accomplish with knowing who is deaf or hard of hearing? Are you trying to do a meet and greet and have a Zoom session to build a community? There’s an App called MeetUp. You may want to check there where there are groups for deaf culture.

@BumbleBea I think she was just trying to get to know deaf/hard of hearing bracelet knotters. She said in her original message that she was learning ASL, so I’m assuming Yellowfang wants to learn more about the lives and experiences of deaf/hard of hearing people who share the same hobby as her. She was not trying to be offensive.

@plant-dad I understood what she was asking. I use Meet Up and there are few deaf/hard of hearing groups that did monthly meetings (pre-COVID). I was simply asking if she had an idea of she wanted to do and if she wanted to potentially meet in-person or online and do like a “Knot with me” and chat. I’m a teacher and certified in ASL.

@ Plant-dad no worries it is all good 🙂. I’m not a fan of messaging in general because of that reason. I know few people who are teachers and license social workers who are looking for continue and just practice ASL. If @Yellowfang is interested I could possibly help get things moving towards their direction. I think it is great to do something online and knot together 😄.

@Yellowfang bc if COVID most stuff is on zoom. I’m not sure how old you are but if you’re a minor, ask your guardians. You can also Google Meetup. Hope you get other responses! Also check out your local library see if they’ll be interested doing ASL and crafts.
