Heya! I have a small local business kinda that’s coming out this fall. Sometime in October I hope. With that being said I need some help seeing if my ideas would be worth making. My main target is teenagers and southern moms lol. And maybe some for kids.So here are my ideas!Kid ideas- For kids I was thinking to do a Disney princess line. Of course this is can be for all ages to. This will have. One beaded bracelet of the colors. An alpha pattern of the princess. And a normal pattern like candy stripe that go with the colors. So for example. Sleep beauty would be Pink, blue, and white beaded bracelet Sleeping beauty bracelet. Pink, blue, and white candy stripe These would be sold in sets for about 8 bucks? I would also do kid shows like Paw patrol and stuff Also I have no younger siblings so I don’t know how big wrist of average kids are. If for some reason you know how wide your younger siblings wrist are. That would be helpful lol. Teenager ideas- Royal core line- The royal core line will be mostly beaded bracelets, necklaces, and rings with charms. I use seed beads/glass beads. The theme would be white and gold. The necklaces with be done with fake pearls. The middle will have a good charm. The charm might be a sun, moon, angel wings, and cute things like that. The necklaces will be about 3 bucks and go to about the collar bone. The bracelets will be done with pearls and the smaller beads. They will have 1 charm to 3 charms. The charms will be gold themed as well. The charms together might have an angel theme or a witchy theme. The ones with pearls will start at 2 dollars because the pearls cost more. The seed beads will start at 1.25 because they cost a lot less. Each charm will ad about .25 cents. Rings will be plain colors with no charms. They will come in sets of 3. They can choose the colors and it will be 2 dollars? I have some ideas for teenagers but I’m gonna leave that for a different post if this one gets noticed lol For adults- The adults will be mostly key chains that say things like. -mom -bless this mess -messy hair don’t care -(local school sport) mom -cool mom -mom of (x) They will have plain backgrounds like brown, cream, and white. The text will be a simple but aesthetic one. That will also be simple colors. The sport mom ones will be the colors of the local high and middle school. I was also thinking of doing animal pattern ones. Each keychain will be about 4 to 8 bucks because they take a lot of time. If you think that’s to much tell me! So if you read this please comment telling me of this is dumb. If the my prices are to high. If you were at a local event and saw me selling would you buy from me? Thank you for reading this!! If you want to hear my teenage ideas or well more of them add that to your comment! |

That sounds great! I would buy for that price but maybe because I know the time that goes into it but also I think that those are fair prices even if you don’t know what the process of making it is like. I love those ideas too! Good luck with it!

Wow, that’s impressive! From a buyer’s view, I think that’s a wonderful, trustworthy, little shop you have! Is this an Etsy/ Shopify store or a local “garage sale” kinda deal? Another thing to add, we think online big business stuff is cheap, and best price, but really, customers are willing to pay a little bit extra for quality products, so you got perfect prices for each item. Tell me when you have to set up! 😊❤️

Sounds like you have a plan/good ideas!Just 1 thing you need to be careful with: if you sell on Etsy (idk about other sites but i assume they will have something similar) you officially cannot sell disney/licenced stuff i have heard! They will take down your listings if they find out and in some cases close your shop as it interferes with trademarks and copyright. Especially Disney i heard is not mild on this. Yes, there are some people who do sell and get away with ir, but be careful! I personally have only heard of this from others, so i cannot be 100% sure how much they go look for it or which actions they take, just some stuff out of an Etsy Facebook group where they mentioned this happens. I am merely a beginner shop owner and havent opened yet either, so im afraid all i can offer is this... I am under no circumstances saying what you should do here! Just making sure you know it might be a possibility and have a plan B ready if you go for it! I'm sure there are other options for children other then disney/paw patrol or other kids shows! Some cute animals or unicorns might be enough! Stay safe and good luck! Please share your shop when you open so we can check it out! |

@Karo-H thank you so much for this information! I’m under 18 and my mom isn’t 100% on letting me have a store online so copy righted shouldn’t be to much of a problem. I’m planning on selling at craft fairs, yard sales (my neighbor has big ones), my neighborhood craft fair and stuff. I will make sure when going through a craft fair if it’s okay to sell Disney and copy righted stuff. Thanks for the ideas of unicorns and animals. Somehow I forgot about those things? Lol. Thank you so much for the info and I hope your business does good as well!

IT DID IT AGAIN- @Girl_Pearl Anyhow as I was trying to say. It’s local that’s why the target group of buyers is very much based off of what the people around me are buying and that’s in trend around my area. Thank you for the prices! I’ve been needing some help with figuring out if my prices are to high for local selling. Seeing that’s it’s all handmade

Homemade products are the best kind. Normally in factories, they would never even check if the stitching is intact, or the glue is sticky enough, and things like that, but in handmade products your client has looked through each and every piece making sure it’s good, and usable. Also don’t sweat it if there’s no income the first few days, and keep trying to play the “friendly-advertisement” . By this I mean, always try to market your stuff, in a friendly way like if u hear someone saying they need a certain item you can say “Hey, I have a shop that might have what you need” or something like that 😄
