@nev_m_07 I hope you are eventually able to get vsco 😊 It's hardly an app for legit socializing imo and ofc the editing features are great - hopefully your parents could somehow see it as more an online personal album/portfolio of sorts since there are so many creators there that make tons of progress with their skills!

I would suggest asking your parents if there is some some of compromise/agreement you can come to which would allow you to get these apps while still following the rules your parents feel are necessary. If your parents say no you could remind them of features such as certain social media apps have editing/photo taking features and most apps have private account features.

i got socials when i was 10. they just kinda let me have them but when something is wrong i will talk to them about it. my account is private though

Never convinced them 😐. But to be honest there are so many problematic people at my school that are like that mostly because of socials so I kind of understand my parents.

I’m a dancer, so my mom think it’s cool to like promote me, so I can get recognized and maybe even opportunities in big shows and concerts, but she’s a strict mom, and a very very serious mom, so she has the Instagram and YouTube accounts on her phone, and I just use it with her permission and then upload content that is ONLY dance related, unless it’s a special occasion like my birthday or Independence Day or some holiday like that. Also she watches over my editing and uploading process 😂😂 and it’s her that takes the videos 🤷🏻♀️ and when I can, I drag her into some of my vids since she s also a dancer

@ChaosZone no. 😐 on my phone, I can request apps, and then my mom gets a notification saying “__________ would like to download this app from the App Store.” And she can decline or accept it, and if she declines it, it won’t download, and if she accepts it I’m allowed to download it.

uhhh well my parents say its a waste of life 🤔 but its super frustrating cuz like 95% of my year have it and i’m literally the only one so i never know what’s happening. also i have the app requesting thing too.

I only really want Instagram to post my baking and bracelet and creative stuff and book stuff. But I am not even going to fight that battle cause I would lose... And yea, I just go my first smartphone, which is my dad's old phone, in may. My parents have the thing were my mom has to approve any apps I want.
