I love frogs and really want to get one as a pet. I have done so much research. I want to get a whites tree frog and wanted to see if there was any personal advice or things to make sure I know. Also, is there a way to 100% convince my parents. I think my dad is more chill with the idea but my mom is harder to convince. I have actually made a google presentation that I'll share with them, so if you think there's anything I should add to it, let me know.

A lot of parent convincing us showing them that you can take in the responsibility, pay for the pet, and that it’s actually reasonable. When attempting my parents to allow me to get a parrot, I did a lot of research and then let them quiz me almost, to make sure I knew what I was doing. I suggest showing them your knowledge and that will hopefully help you!

Make sure the temperature and habitat and suited well for that specific type of frog. Also, please do not purchase from chain pet stores (example: PetCo & PetSmart) the breeding is inhumane and cruel, and the frog will likely die soon. Try to find a better place to purchase your frog.

Hello! I have a Pac-Man frog! I just got him a few weeks ago and he’s doing great! I was able to convince my parents by paying for the supplies and frog. Frogs are also pretty easy to take care of (depending on the type). The hardest part is caring for the live food like crickets or worms. Don’t forget that you’ll need to dust the food with vitamin and calcium powder every few feedings. Also, you just need to prove you’re responsible and will take care of your frog. Most parents will be okay with their kid getting a pet if they know it will be taken care of properly. If you have any more questions on frog care, feel free to message me or tag me in this post!

That’s great! I just bugged my mom to death and she finally let me get mine 😂 But that’s probably not the best way to go lol. Do you have any names in mind for your frogs? Mine is names Pierre

@plant-dad oh my gosh! hes so cute. i love that name. i made a short list, a few that I liked were Diana (named after wonder woman) venus, or fern. I also thought orion or neptune would be cool if it was a Mr. frog
