ig you could ask them why they believe that then debunk their misconceptions but then you may not want to make it too obvious to the point it becomes harmful to you, once again i am so very sorry about your parents

Well they are sinning by judging in god’s place and not loving others.I can’t believe they don’t understand why most of our generation is leaving their religion. |

@akanel Since they are Christian, how about showing them verses that talk about how followers of Christ are to love and support ALL people, not call them sinners 🙂 There is a verse that talks about how everyone is a sinner, and everyone is equal no matter how much they sin (I’ll pull it up in a second)I personally would say it was not the most loving or accurate thing to call you a “sinner” 😕 We all do bad things, and if your parents are judging you for it then that is not right, and is not what Christianity intends. I am so sorry. Do you mind telling me what denomination of Christianity they believe? I study religion so maybe I could help if I know exactly what your parents believe and where they are coming from 🙂 As for coming out, I can give additional help for that if you would like. Coming out with Christian Parents can be difficult 😕 Everyone seems to have different beliefs regarding Homosexuality including Christians. Some are either very accepting, most (I’d say) choose to ignore and let people live their lives, and others are extremely against it. What category would you say your parents fall in? Here are some verses maybe you could show your parents to help the situation : “For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.” -James 2:10 “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” -2 Corinthians 5:19 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” -Romans 3:23 ““Do not judge, or you too will be judged. -Matthew 7:1 These verses show what Jesus did, and shows that he does not count peoples sins against them. I’d say because Jesus acts that way, Christians should also, unless they do not want to be “Christ-Followers.” Maybe showing these verses to your parents would help them realize that judging others is not a part of what they should believe in 🙂 If you need more help like with coming out, please tell me! I have helped people in situations like these, however I need more information. If it’s okay, can you write down in detail some more description about what is exactly going on? I am more than happy to help 🙂 and if you ever feel like your parents don’t understand you, feel free to talk to someone, including me. |

Tell them that even if lgbtq+ is a sin, they are also sinning by judging you (I’m not really a religious person, these are just what I’ve heard from other people who read the Bible, so idk if either of these are true or not, I’m pretty sure the one about judging is though).

And also another thing that I heard from other Christians, God loves everyone even if they sin, and Christians are supposed to do the same.

one more thing 😂 this is just what I personally think so this probably won’t help, but being lgbtq+ is not hurting anyone at all, but judging others is.

Hi, one of the people messaged me back. They said that if your school has a GSA group, that would be a great place to start, your school counselor might have some ideas on what's available in your school or town. They also asked if you feel safe where you're living. |

@akanel What denomination of Christianity are they (if you don’t mind saying). I study different religions and their denominations so maybe I could be able to help more if I knew what their background is 🙂

if they kick you out then they're in the wrong. i don't understand how they can claim to be Christians and yet spread so much hate. it is the duty of Christians to spread the LOVE of god. if they're not doing that and reject their own child, then they are sinning by rejecting gods creation and will go to hell. that's the basis of it. if they refuse to listen to you and work things out then they seem like very hateful people and i would tell them to spend some time talking to god since they obviously have flown far away from him. it is not their job to place judgement, only gods. what they should do is be LOVING you and accepting who you are because it isnt their job to correct your sins. thats for you and god to rule out between you two.
