I think it depends on how alike you and your best friend are! I have different best friends for different things like if I need to talk to someone about struggling with mental health, I'd talk to a specific one because they can relate well. If I just want to talk about sports or bracelet making with someone, I have a different best friend who also has those interests! If you feel like you have one person that you can talk about everything with without feeling like you're boring them, then that's great and you might only want one best friend, but for me, it's a better idea to have more than one because I haven't found someone exactly like me!

i have two best friends and both of them are like polar opposites, we respect that we have other friends too but it gives me the opportunity to branch out/have more friends as well as have people i can show my different sides to if that makes sense

Yes, I have one bff who I can talk to whenever need to and the other one is a donkey...but he calms me down

I basically have one BFF for each of the sports I do because we hang out at practice and they are some of the only people I have time to see but it totally depends on how you feel and what you consider a bff
