4 me, i was mean tbh, but then when i started being in the chat and replying 2 forum topics and making friends, i started 2 change significantly and BB really had an impact on me ❤️

The pattern submission process was slow(I would submit a pattern, and then I'd have to wait 3 days to get it accepted or declined), and then when the Admin posted the submission process was back to normal I was like "This isn't normal?" 😂.

every pattern I made literally got declined and I was like so sad, but then I made this hibiscus/daisy flower alpha and it finally got accepted and I was like yasssssss finally! lol 😂

i joined at the height of quarantine so there were tons of ppl active and vsco girls were still kinda relevant lmaoin my experience everyone was super nice and helpful I also met so many kind people that I probably would never meet irl 😄 |

Somewhere else on the net, there was this person who made a sad post and I offered her a surprise letter somewhen within a year, which she accepted. I wanted to add something to the letter and after some time I decided to make a friendship bracelet for her. I've been doing normal friendship bracelets for many years, more or less the same few patterns over and over again, and this time I wanted to do something different, something special. Via Google picture search I stumbled upon an alpha pattern, which was totally new to me, so I searched a little deeper and ended up here. Wow! Just wow! So many awesome patterns, unbelievable, especially alphas. I was deeply in love. After I had watched several tutorials on Youtube, I started my first try, #53373. A racoon. Exactly the design for a beginner. 😉 The first rows were quite okay, but soon I got severe problems with all those colours, how to change them, edges and just everything. In the end I stopped this thoroughly messed up bracelet after 1/3 and felt like I'm never ever going to learn how to do it properly. After a few days of frustration I returned and did a two-colour alpha bracelet with thick crocheting yarn. Exactly my level. This was the beginning of a great journey. 🙂PS: Meanwhile I can do that racoon, so whoever reads this and feels like you're never going to learn it, just don't give up, you can do it as well. 🙂 |
