Sooo....
I’m in an advanced math class and I am really having trouble. On my last test I took, I got a 56 and I really don’t want it to happen again. I study really hard and I pay attention and everything but I l’m really struggling and it’s just making my confidence in math go lower and lower. I used to get really good grades but this past month or so, everything had slipped away. I don’t want to move down to an easier math class bc I don’t want to seem like I’m not a good fit for hard math or that I’m a quitter. If someone could give me advice, it would really help! Tysm!

Try your best to keep up with all your homework never miss a day. If there is something you don't understand that you learned review it or find a video to explain it in another way. Make sure to study for your tests until you are confident. I hope this helps.

I agree, watching youtube videos on specific math topics really helps me when I’m struggling with a concept. khan academy is actually a great resource for this. and I’m sure there’s step by step options elsewhere that explain certain concepts, if videos aren’t for you. my main encouragement is to find ways that you learn best. if you’re struggling to understand one video, try a different website or video. or if it’s easier for you to learn from words on a screen/page, try finding options for that. it really depends on what you find best. also, I’m not sure what your schooling situation is, but if you’re able to ask your teacher for help that would probably be a good idea. it’s perfectly okay if not but it could be worth a shot (: good luck!!

maybe try doing some math outside of school or consider a tutor?? definitely ask people irl for advice, since i don't know the full situation. there are some really good yt vids that can help you with studying or that might give advice about doing better in a subject or school in general! hope this helps and hope the situation gets better!! <33

You should watch some math videos or maybe get a tutor. Are there any subjects that you’re struggling on? I am pretty good at the math subjects that I have to do, I’m at the end of 6th grade and I am not sure how old you are and you’re in advanced math so I might not know the subjects but I could try to help. Even if I do know the subjects I might not be very good at trying to explain them to you but I still might be able to help.

I am really good at math as well, and I would say to keep practicing, not everything you can get the first time. Practice makes perfect so keep practicing and trying. You could ask a parent/ older sibling/ friend to give you some problems to practice on and tell them to make it harder as you get them right.I hope this helps! I have done these things a lot and they work for me. You can always PM me if you need some other tips, need help with a problem, if you just want to talk, or anything else! Good luck!

Hello! I totally know what this situation is, haha I even just went through it. I would meet with the teacher whenever you get something wrong on a test. I am not talking about if you get like a 90 and NEED to look at the score, I am talking about like a lower score like 60-20 range. If it gets too hard I would just except moving down to another class. I did and it was hard for me to just be ok with it, but my grades went from getting a 4/14 to a 12/14. So yeah if you ever need any help please message me and I would be happy to help you. Hope this was semi helpful though! Have a great day and good luck!

I'm the same:
Try to meet up with them during independent study, and ask for help.
If you go to independent study, ask them to help with your homework.
Take more notes.

I would say to use an app to help with ONLY ONE problem. You can look at the steps to figure out how to solve other problems like it. I use mathway
