Okay so I have a huge problem with not staying as motivated as I would like when it comes to working out. I work on the weekdays, really early from 5am-2pm and I just take a nap after I get off work because I’m tired, I wake up a few hours later have dinner than sleep and repeat. There is sometimes where I wouldn’t even nap, I’ll play video games or continue my bracelets. I always tell myself I’m gonna workout after work but.... that just doesn’t happen LOL I just get lazy. I’ve only been working out like 1 sometimes 2 days a week and I really wanna be more consistent but it’s so hard 😞 I’m young I’m 24, and when I get older I don’t want my health to get in the way of anything I wanna do in the future so I wanna be around as long as possible. It’s just so hard for me to stay consistent 😭 |

Right when you feel like you should workout/you have the time to work out, just go do it lol. If you think about it too much, you’ll procrastinate and not end up doing it all. Just make sure that you actually enjoy your workout. Like I don’t really like strength workouts that much cause I find them boring, but kickboxing workouts can be fun and also if it’s not too dark outside and there’s somewhere near where you live, you could go on a hike. The reason you don’t feel motivated could just be because you don’t enjoy the workout. And finally, don’t force yourself to workout if you really don’t want to. It’s okay to take some days off, nobody is expected to work out every single day. If you still want to do something productive/healthy, you could try some healthy recipes. I try to be as healthy and active as I can, but I’m not the kind of person to get to the gym for hours every day, so these are just things I find helpful

Working out should be fun. Lots of working out is portrayed as lifting tons of weight, running 10 miles. You can do yoga, Pilates and that's totally okay. You can walk around the park or go on a walk with a dog, Working out shouldn't have a negative connotation with it. Many people lose motivation because its too hard, they hated what they did last time. You should change your exercising up. I know i hate cardio, unless there's a reason to run, so i go on runs with friends, and then we go get a smoothie after. A lot of staying healthy, is what you consume. Some people have a fast metabolism, some people never exercise and they don't gain weight. You need to know what works for your body type. Lots of people get discouraged because they are doing the wrong thing for their body. They are trying to eat only 2000 calories and trying to run 10 miles. That doesn't really work... If you are exercising like hardcore, you need food... that's how your body works. I've done track since i was 5, and did basketball for 3 years. I know im not a long distance person, but always tried to run it, and gave up. You need to see what works for you, and educate yourself on what you like and don't like. Remember exercise should be fun and not stressful or bad. Challenge yourself and reward yourself. Remember that you change for no one but yourself. DRINK WATER. if you exercise you sweat, and you need fluids to help regulate your body temperature and maintain the fancy word of Homeostasis, which is pretty much a balancing act. water will help with your skin too... anywho. Good luck! |

@monaymsw Something that I found helpful was going workouts with another person. We didn't get together to do it we just did the same thing and I found that helped me continue doing it. This might not work for everyone but it worked for me. Hope that helps!
