So I’m just your basic teen. My closet consists of ripped skinny jeans, plain tees, some weird printed tees, cropped hoodies, your usual lettuce trim rib knit tees, sweaters, sweatshirts, and that’s basically all. I feel like every time I go somewhere nice I’m wearing the exact same thing! Which is either ripped skinny jeans and a tee or ripped jeans and a sweater. I don’t wear cropped tops so that kind of eliminates a lot of legging looks. Anyone have any advice on how to switch my wardrobe up? Again I’ll just tell you I’m your basic teen who likes to fit in 😂 I just have no idea for what else to wear. |

Maybe try a few skirts if you like them, they can make you look a little nicer when going to events and make you look more mature.

There’s also the option to layer your clothing with a nice jacket (e.g. a denim one in spring, a pleather/suede one in the fall, a cardigan for warmer days, etc.) or unique shoes (e.g. classy ankle boots—with or without heels—a nice sneaker or high cut shoe) to help vary your outfits a bit.

definitely try to come up with a style you like and that fits you! you can just experiment! you might find some really nice clothes that you never thought that you would see yourself wearing! definitely go to thrift stores, cause you can find really cute or vintage clothes for cheaper prices! also, PINTEREST IS WHERE IT’S AT. just try looking at fashion inspo, because there are really cute and unique outfits that you might like on there! you should have maybe an idea of what you want when going shopping, but of course buy some things you weren’t planning to get! hope this helps <3

some things you could consider getting are stuff like: tie front tops (cute ones), a jean dress with straps (any colour), pin stripe pants, sweaters with cool designs, baggy jeans, pleated skirts and waffle cardigans!

I think sweats, T's, pleaded tennis skirts, mini dresses, flannels, hoodie, tank top, nike socks with sneakers and exercories. You can make beaded bracelets/rings and that is indie aesthetic🌈🌱🍄 🙂 bye!

I had a ripped skinny jean phase but now i prefer straight leg jeans that are either ripped or not. It’s really nice because you can dress them up or down for a more casual or semi-formal look. I also have a few button down shirts that can look nice for formal or casual events. I really recommend maybe some jumpsuits because they’re really cute, can be casual or formal, and you don’t have to worry about dress/skirt etiquette.

definitely look on pinterest, it will help you figure out what you rlly like from the things you start to save and you can get outfit ideas from the pics that you findI also recommend looking at things on tik tok or insta to help get more inspo for spicing up your fashion Ps. ik u never asked for some stores but you can try looking at these places to help find more stuff u like: target (they have some cute and trendy items that are pretty affordable), h&m (a bit more pricy but the jeans there are amazing, old navy/gap (they can be pricy sometimes but they almost always have deals and sales that can help with the prices), THRIFT SHOPS (their great places to buy affordable clothes that are trendy rn and their helping the environment a little) |
