I'm not trying to attack/argue with you, just trying to provide context.

*i jusr got mine, if anyone wants to get it but is worried that the shot itself will hurt, the first dose didn’t hurt that bad for me! it just felt like a pinch and it lasted for like 5-10 seconds, but it depends on the person and it can probably depend on if they gave it in the right spot. My back hurt for some reason afterwards, but that probably didn’t have to do with the vaccine, my back normally hurts a little bit while I’m walking around in a store, probably because I have scoliosis and because I may not have fully recovered from when I fell on my back (but that was over a year ago so yeah it’s probably my scoliosis 😂)

@Elise64 I got my vaccine on my left arm and it hurt sleeping that night, but its worth it to be able to finally do stuff again. Also, unless you have pre-existing conditions or a weaker immune system, vaccines will not hurt you, other than a normal immune response, which is your body trying to fight it. |

I had to get both shots on my right hand because I have a lot of eczema patches on my left hand but I didn't have much hw on those days so it was fine and the soreness went away after 2 days or so

I got both of my doses! My brother and I were both able to get them because they opened it up for the lower ages. I got Pfizer and getting the shot doesn’t hurt, but I felt like I had a cold the day after the second shot. Better than getting COVID though!

@Ciao the same thing happened with me, I got it on my left arm and it was really sore and I couldn’t lift it without it hurting, but it felt better after two days (including the day that I got the shot). I used to be really scared of vaccines but I’m not any more, and honestly getting a vaccine that hurts slightly for a few seconds and then having side effects for a day or two is a lot better than spreading or catching covid and possibly putting myself or someone else in the hospital for covid with long term side effects.

@Fluffball I respect your decision but some of those points. are extremely ignorant. Even if your age group doesn’t typically have a hard time with the virus, you can still pass it to other people who could potentially have a very hard time with the virus and even die. That is not a reason to not get vaccinated, it’s actually a reason TO get vaccinated. The shot may not make you 100% immune, but it’s pretty darn close and WAY more immune than without. Yes, things will change when you get the vaccine. In most places, you are able to do a lot more things when you are vaccinated and the only way all of those things will go away is if everyone is vaccinated including you. Even if you had a reaction to a vaccine a while ago, that was not the same vaccine and has nothing to do with the COVID vaccine. Both of my parents are in healthcare and my mom works directly with COVID patients in a COVID hospital and to them, it is very disrespectful and a punch in the stomach really when someone says they won’t be vaccinated because their every day lives are harder than ever especially because people aren’t getting vaccinated and my mom has stories about people who refused to be vaccinated and then passed away from Covid and people who refused the vaccine and passed the virus to their parents who passed. My mom tells every anti vaxxer to take a walk with her through the hospital and they will change their mind. The only and I mean ONLY way the pandemic will ever end is if we achieve herd immunity by us all getting vaccinated. Also, if you aren’t old enough to receive the vaccine, that means you are under the age of 12 and I don’t know how a 11 or younger year old would know anything about vaccine liability or virus transmission but your points just aren’t true because the vaccine does prevent transmission that’s the whole point and you shouldn’t base your opinion on the 1000s of people who the vaccine didn’t work for instead you should base it on the millions of people it did work for. I hope you get vaccinated for your own health and the health of people around you. Thanks for reading and please reconsider. Also, I’m not getting mad at you I’m only trying to educate you so you can make a more informed decision.

@LiliaKnots I know people who got the vaccine and still got covid AFTER being fully vaccinated. It’s happened to a bunch of people that I know, so i don’t think it really gives immunity.

@GenMalucci I didn’t say it makes you immune but it makes it a lot better. You still have to wear a mask and stay home you can get the vaccine and continue normal life of course it’s not perfect you have to do your part too. It’s just so disrespectful to refuse the vaccine and expect everyone else to vaccinate so anti vaxxers can piggyback off of vaccinated people. My mother has seen horrible horrible horrible things whole families wiped out because they refused the vaccine. I would rather get the shot and most likely be safe then not getting the vaccine and definitely not being safe at all. I didn’t tag you in my thing because the person I had was being ignorant saying that they could be asymptomatic but that just means it’s so easy to pass it on to high risk people who could die from it I just can’t fathom how people think about just themselves like that. I understand being hesitant at first to get the shot but it’s been months and so many people have gotten the vaccine that has saved so many lives. I saw someone on here in a different post talking about how aborted baby flesh is in the vaccine and my mind just can’t comprehend what is going through these people’s minds. The ONLY people who shouldn’t be getting the vaccine are people who have serious legitimate medical reasons not to like being allergic to the ingredients. Anti vaxxers are making the lives of healthcare and frontline workers so so much more difficult and traumatic and I can’t forgive or reason with any of them. I lost friends to the virus because people they knew were anti vaxxers and I will never agree with anti vaxxers, especially ones who spread their “information” on the internet.

@LiliaKnots well, I see where you’re coming from. But I can’t find any information on what is in the vaccine, which worries me, because if it’s so safe, why can’t I know what’s it in? And I have serious reactions to vaccines and medicines. I don’t want to end up in the hospital because info was never released on what’s in it.

@GenMalucci I can see that you want to take precautions if you have serious reactions to vaccines and you should talk to your doctor about that for sure to see what they think. Here’s a list of ingredients of the Pfizer vaccine. It’s official I copied and pasted it from Canada.ca hopefully that helps you if you weren’t able to find the ingredients.Medicinal ingredient: mRNA Non-medicinal ingredients: ALC-0315 = ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate) ALC-0159 = 2-[(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine cholesterol dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate monobasic potassium phosphate potassium chloride sodium chloride sucrose water for injection Here’s the link: https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/covid19-industry/drugs-vaccines-treatments/vaccines/pfizer-biontech.html#a1.1 |

I’m not getting vaccinated… at least not until it’s fully approved for 5 years. There could be long term affects that I don’t want. Plus there have been so many stories about people getting the vaccine and that night they are having tremors or heart failure and other scary things

@Camo so you want the pandemic to last 5-10 more years? I understand your concern but why would officials be giving out these vaccines and very important people like the Queen and President be getting it if it wasn’t safe? Sure a few thousand people have died because of the vaccine. But not average people, people who were allergic or should not have been getting it. Around 5000 people have died from the vaccine in the US and 610k have died from Covid. The risk is definitely definitely worth it. I’m not sure if you’ve read my message before but anti vaxxers make so many people’s lives very very horrible and stressful. I have seen my healthcare parents so much less because of the pandemic and the ONLY way to end the pandemic is to reach herd immunity by getting vaccinated.

@GenMalucci do you know what those ingredients are? No? So how can you judge it based on the fact that you don’t know what it is? Next time you have a bag of chips or a can of pop check the ingredients I bet you don’t know what those words mean either. Until you fully research the ingredients you cannot be so quick to say it’s bad
