@GenMalucci the side effects really aren’t that bad, it’s a natural immune response. having side effects means that the vaccine is working! i would much rather get the vaccine then actually get covid. there are so many variant strains now and they are attacking young people more than ever. it comes down to “do i want some side effects for a day” or “do i want to risk getting covid and possibly live with those effects for the rest of my life”? it’s your choice to get vaccinated, but i think it’s best that everyone who can get it should get it so we can reach herd immunity!!

Another reason why I won’t get it: my body is super weak, my immune system is trashed and a lot of the stuff that goes into vaccines can harm me. I don’t want to risk my health for something that probably won’t work. Just my personal opinion 🤷♀️

@hummusboi haha, that’s totally fine. But it doesn’t give us immunity, it can help fight it off but it won’t give us immunity

@nev_m_07 i might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that it’s really rare to die from the side effects of the vaccine, if the vaccine isn’t safe for you then doctors would probably tell you that you shouldn’t get it. and I heard that you aren’t completely km

@nev_m_07 *immune to Covid if you get the vaccine but you have a low chance of dying when you get it, and if almost everyone got vaccinated, there would probably be a really low chance of people getting it. I don’t rly know much about the vaccine, but that’s just what i heard so I might be wrong.

im not getting it, not old enough but i wouldn't anyway.my family already got covid. Even my 70 year old grandparents. (spoiler alert, it was just like a common cold for all 15 of us who got it.) We wouldn't risk the side effects and harm that the vaccine can cause and it doesn't matter anyway cause we already got it. |

@Elise64 a major part of why people opt out of getting the vaccine is because it’s leaves you extremely vulnerable for pneumonia over winter. Which can kill a person. I respect you, but yeah, it can be unhealthy

I will not be getting one, for several reasons:1. Currently I am too young to qualify. 2. We know nothing about the long-term side effects of this vaccine. 3. I have had a very bad reaction to a vaccine when I was a young child. 4. Vaccine makers have no liability. 5. I am young and have a strong immune system. 6. I am more willing to risk a COVID infection — the mortality rate is very, very low, especially among my age group. The side effects some people have mentioned are EXTREMELY rare. 7. Nothing will change after I get the vaccine! Masks, social distancing, and staying at home will STILL be required (which makes no sense if the vaccine is as effective as they say it is.) 8. The vaccine does not prevent transmission of COVID. 9. It is more than likely that I have already gotten COVID and been asymptomatic, given my age and health. Given this, I will NOT try to discourage anyone from getting the vaccine. I firmly believe that whether or not you get the vaccine should be your personal choice. Likewise, I ask that you don't try to pressure me into getting it, either. |

@GenMalucci wow I didn’t know that! I had pneumonia once and I couldn’t go to school for a few weeks, and it may have caused this cough that I still have (not a super serious cough, i used to for a

*i used to get a lot of mucus in my throat which I think was from the pneumonia I got, and it felt like I was going to stop breathing if I coughed it out bc it happened once but it never happened, I was just really scared that I would stop breathing) honestly I don’t rly know how i feel about vaccines now, I’m scared to get diseases from them even if they’re super rare but they are also life saving so I kind of like them and dislike them at the same time

@Elise64 I totally understand that! I personally won’t get the vaccine any time soon because I don’t find it safe. And hopefully it never becomes a mandate for us. If you are not sure I suggest just waiting to see what happens. Yes, pneumonia is rough.

@sadnymph Be VERY careful with that, do your research. It's killed people put them in wheelchairs and given people horrible diseases.
