Please feel free to express your thoughts politely and please don't hate on anyone who is or isn't Christian. I was curious because I think we get a bad rap because of places like Westboro baptist church, and that sadly a lot of people haven't had good examples of Christians in their life. and with the whole Capital incident (y'all know what i'm talking about) those people who broke in may claim to be Christians, but that is also a terrible example of Christianity. anyway, please share NICELY and without accusations, just your thoughts 😂

i support all religions btw so dont judge me herei really dont mind christians, until they start judging how i live. yes, maybe its a sin that im gay, so what?? should i care?? i also totally get pro-life bc of religion, but that takes away the right of non-religious people too i also think (pls dont hate me, its just what i think, i have no proof) that Jesus did exist, but i dont know if he was that important. but i really dont know, im not religious. i absolutely love religions, theyre very cool, i just dont like the part with judging people |

@HelloooIts I really hope i got username right 😂 I totally get it!! a lot of Christians have doubts, myself included, and the judgmental part is understandable too. again it's not totally true of every christian and maybe you just haven't met one that isn't judgmental of sexuality or pro-choice people.

@swim_girloh another thing, ive heard a lot of christians talking about how the bible says being trans is wrong and stuff of course i dont really know the bible, but how many verses are there about that?? 5 or something?? and that was the human interpretation but then how many verser are there about not judging people, spreading love, respecting everyone?? a lot more than 5 i hope |

@swim_girli know, ive met a lot of nice christians too. actually most of them respected me and didnt mind it. even if they didnt support it themselves, they knew it was my choice. but theres just some of them that really piss me off lol |

@HelloooIts Hey! So I read you were curious about trans in the Bible and there isn’t a specific verse about it. The reason why Christians don’t support it is because they believe God created everyone in His image so when you change genders, you aren’t His image anymore and it’s kind of disrespectful. I’m a Christian but also support the LGBTQ+ community 🙂. Let me know if you have anymore questions or want clarification!

@naiyah @Jdog12525 those are really good ways of explaining it! I also think that while the Bible does say being lgbtq+ is wrong, @HelloooIts you were also right that it says MUCH more often to love other and treat them with kindness. I think a lot of Christians can't decide between loving people and judging them (and sometimes trying to help when a person doesn't want or need help with their sexuality may come off as judgmental but idk).

I hate how a lot of them are like “you are forcing secular stuff on me” but then try to force everyone to be straight and cis.Like I get you think it’s a “sin” but we aren’t a part of your religion, so why do we have to follow your rules? Like everyone would be mad if Muslims tried to ban bacon since it’s “unclean” I get it’s apart of your religion to convert others, but I am tired of people trying to convert me. They assume I want to be a Christian. Like if I could pick which religion I wanted to be real I’d pick Atheism( I’m agnostic by the way). So yeah, those are my two major issues against them. Sorry if this comes off rude, I just only have Christian friends and grew up in the church so I have seen a lot of the ugliness of Christianity. I’m not saying any of you are this way, because I know a Christians who supports the lgbtq community. |

@crafter83 again, that's understandable! I'm sorry you've had it forced on you 🙁 😭 that definitely would not be fun. While we are supposed to convert people, it's just basic etiquette to respect people's boundaries and feelings and there are definitely people who push WAYYY too hard.

I am not a christian and I’d don’t want to judge people but you asked so... I think christians can be too religious sometimes. Some of them judge others because of who they love?! Let the gays be whoever they want! Why is it so bad for a person to love the same gender? I also think that letting a book that was written a long time ago tell you how to live and what you believe is a little dumb. I don’t think this is all of Christians as a whole but just the select few.

It’s fine to have your own ways of living but judging others for things that they can’t control is just wrong. I have a lot of christian friends who are so sweet but it’s also important to not pressure anyone into joining your religion.

as a former christian, this religion uses it to manipulate others. they like to twist the "word of god" to support whatever they might want to believe. they nit pick the verses and only follow some of them when its convenient. when its not they pretend it doesnt exist. its stupid and the bible isnt even reliable anymore. so many people have re-written it to follow their own beliefs that the bible is now infested with lies |

I'm a Christian and most of them I know don't "force" people to become Christian. The Bible tells people to spread the word of God, not force it. I don't look down on people who have different beliefs. I just look down on the people who think they can get away with stuff because they aren't Christian or don't believe in God. You can be a perfectly kind, nice, and a selfless person even if you don't believe in God, but I'm just talking for some. No offence to anyone I hope. 😊 Just stating my opinion.

I am christian but I must say most people don't realize that christianity is not one religion where everyone believes the exact same thing. There are different denominations and like both protestants and catholics are christian. So like while some christians might support one thing others might not and one thing that christians should agree on is the amount of times we are called to love others in the bible (there's over 500 times mentioned). It doesn't mean loving a person's actions but it means loving them as a human no matter what they have done. And yes the bible does call us to be loving and to share the gospel but there's a difference between forcing and simply telling. @Deer-Teeth Actually those are good questions/points, yet if u have read the Bible there is a part of the Bible that state that Homosexual stuff isn't right. Genesis 19:24- Sodom & Gomorrah. God sent an angel to warn Lot (Man) and his family that He would destroy the city because it was corrupt. When the men of the city found out they told Lot to send out the angel so they could "sleep" with him. Lot told the men they could have his virgin daughter(s), but the men refused as wanting the angel. No one wanted to turn away from their sins so Lot &his family evacuated the city before the city was burned... Also when ppl say 'converting' it is just a term that is used like To be used in a different purposed or Turn around! |
