I am new here! I was crocheting a blanket with my fingers a few days ago. I was using a tutorial on youtube and once I ran out of yarn, I was like "Hey, what about friendship bracelets!" In doing so, I ended up here looking for patterns and learning how to read them. I haven't made any yet but plan to as soon as I grab some strings/threads. I am probably pretty old to start learning, 27, but I love doing arts and crafts to help my anxiety and depression. I have already added a bunch to my to-do and am so excited to start! How did you end up here? What got you interested in bracelet making? Do you do other yarn/needle crafts? Do you paint, draw, do photography or music? Art is rad. 😎 |

Welcome to the site! 😄I started making bracelets when I was 18 (now I'm 28)... and use it as a kind of art therapy. I don't remember what got me started, but I think I just stumbled across it and thought it was cool. I primarily make bracelets, but I really enjoy drawing mandalas (pen/colored pencils). I also play the flute and piccolo. |

Welcome to the hobby! I started making bracelets when I was 11 and I’m still doing it at 26! Haha! At the time I had one friend who knew how to make them and she had a book she learnt from which she then passed on to me as YouTube was not yet in existence. Once we got internet in our house I looked up friendship bracelets online to see if I could find more patterns but the main and really only site I could find at the time was like ‘heathers friendship bracelets’ or something like that. Fast forward a few years and I eventually found this site.

Welcome! I started making brackets roughly 4 years ago, when I got a kit for Christmas (the iLoom). I saw the kit somewhere and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I also like to take pictures, and I play piano, and I want to get into drawing.

Welcome! I am 29, started when I was 28 so it’s never too old to start a new hobby! I’m in the same boat, it definitely helps with my anxiety and depression too, but I have adhd as well so finishing one if it doesn’t look right to me is hard lol! I am a self employed photographer. I started off crocheting and knitting, then learning a couple macrame patterns, then I got into healing crystals and trying to figure out what patterns to add them too. I have well over $100 worth of bracelet making supplies. I just bought some linhasita cord, 6 spools coming in the mail today and I’m extremely excited to make a bracelet with it!

I started when I was 10. I found a tutorial on Pinterest for a candy stripe, and only made a candy stripe for about a year. Then I found Masha Knots and then braceletbook and now I’m doing more advanced stuff. 😊

Hi I started about 8 months ago but I can already tell that I am going to be doing this for a while. I really like it because it’s a good stress relief and is just fun in general.

I started two years ago. I found a video on how to make bracelets on YouTube because I wanted to do a suicide awareness day at my school. I then found several bracelet channels (Masha’s too, of course). I was really happy making bracelets for a while, but then I took a long break because of stress and my mental health. I just started making them again. And now, I’m here making friends and many bracelets on BraceletBook!

I was making the really simple bracelets for a while and I wanted a new challenge, so I stumbled upon BraceletBook about a year ago, and have been loving it ever since!

Welcome @adidasdog! Bracelet making is so great. I really accidentally stumbled upon BraceletBook through Pinterest. I started bracelet making at summer camp three years ago, but I have been making rainbow loom bracelets for almost 8 years now. I am 14. I also do calligraphy and bullet journaling. I find that very relaxing and satisfying. I like to play the ukulele in my spare time. It is a really fun instrument.
