Ok, so good news, my surgery has been postponed and now I can get braces! So I’m debating with a couple friends and we are wondering if Yellow actually looks bad on braces? 😂

I've had braces for almost 2 years. I have had yellow bands before, and personally I don't think they look bad! Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that's just my end of the "debate" or whatever you want to call it 😄

Great! Is your favorite color yellow? If it is, I think you should go with it. You should pick a color you like, because you could have braces for a while. (Idk the condition of your teeth, I'm just guessing you would have them for a while). 😜 Good luck!

I don’t know, but here’s a tip that I learned in a video earlier: if you want your teeth to look whiter then choose a darker color like dark blue or black.idk if it’s actually true but it makes sense. i think it’s because if you have a dark color on your teeth it will make your teeth look white in comparison to the other color or something

@Elise64 yep! Im not sure if yellow is a good color choice but if you really want yellow you should put that color in. Darker colors will make your teeth look whiter and brighter in comparison to yellow.

Coming from a 3 year wearer of train tracks for the teeth... i tried a “mellow” yellow and hated it, because it made my teeth look yellow 💀if you go for yellow then make sure it’s nice and bright.

So here’s the thing... there’s a lot pf color options, and not all of them look good. Certain colors like white, pastel colors, teals, greens, and blues will make your teeth look yellow by comparison. So if you want to get colors, make sure they’re on the darker side; it’ll make your teeth pop more and look whiter. I just get silver on the top and colors on the bottom since I mostly smile with only my top teeth but you can get colors on the top and bottom if you like. And honestly, now is the time to try new colors since we all have to wear a mask anyway. But to answer your question, yellow should look okay, just go for a bright yellow, not pastel. Pastels tend to fade quickly and look weird , making your teeth look yellower. The only thing with yellow is that you have to be careful what you eat because it’ll stain the color and make it not yellow. (i.e. if you eat something blue, the bands will turn green)

Go with your gut! I got a lovely color of blue and hated it... But then other colors have pleasantly surprised me! I personally always get purple 💜

Idk I always had clear or blue and silver! You can search a picture of it on the internet some people think it look bad and some people think it looks good it’s just your personal opinion

Frankly, when i got my braces i just picked whatever color i wanted. I didn't really care whether or not the color made my teeth look weird. Just go with whatever you want! And, as of rn, no one but your family is going to see your braces...
