@CakeCup yeah i believe that too. But it’s also the society in a country. In my country, we grew up eating grey/brown bread with a lot of seeds with liver pate. EVERYONE ate it. The daycares, classrooms etc always smelled liver pate because everyone eat it. If they don’t eat liver pate, they usually ate ham with cheese, cucumber, salad and pepper or mackerel in tomato on their bread. No in between. Everyone eat it. 2 pieces of brown bread for breakfast, lunch, after school and before bed time. For dinner it was always home cooked. Even doe everyone eats the same, we all have different rules. In my house, you could eat how much you wanted. It was up to you what you wanted to drink, but no soda. We ate candy only on saturday for 3$. In my friend’s home, she was forced to drink 3 glasses of milk everyday. her bread didn’t taste anything and was just allowed to have mackerel in tomato on her bread. Also sea food for dinner 6 times a week. On saturday they had taco or pizza and she got 3$ candy. She had to wear shoes when she showered and had to do swimming 4 times a week. My other friend had to drink spinach smoothie for lunch everyday. All of thei bread-related things were grey. I just think it’s on the society in the country. Most of the people in my country grew up with brown/grey bread and liver paste for every meal except dinner. People in America grew up with unhealthy rainbow cereal and pancakes for breakfast. And then you have a few of those people who is not like the society. A boy in my class were exactly like the americans except he was 100% norwegian. He ate white bread everyday with jelly and peanut butter. He had takeaway leftovers at least 3 times a week and he ate chocolate cereal for breakfast everyday. It’s just that america is doing so much unnecessary and toxic to their people. I don’t say that americans has to eat grey bread with liver pate. But people like ur parents takes responsibility instead of living unhealthy like the society in america. It’s not americans fault, it’s were they were born and is used to. But i really think people in america needs to open their eyes. Orange cheese is just not it please. Is that even cheese 😭

@CakeCup Agreed. We rarely go out, my mom makes around 98% of our food. If anyone is caught with shoes my parents don’t like it. I think it also depends on what other people hear about america. Cause certain parts are just fantastic

@Idkkkkk i definetly agree with the cheese... i havent ever tried it, but it sounds disgusting 🤮 Yea, i think it mostly does depend on the country and the culture of the country.

@idkkkk With some of the things you said I couldn't help but laugh...I live in Utah (which is in the us btw) So yeah...like is wearing your shoes in the house not normal?? Also I just wanted to comment on the whole eating out thing...sometimes eating out is cheaper then grocery shopping and based on people's income it is harder to go grocery shopping. Also eating out is more convienent like for example back in March of last year we moved into a new house and hadn't unpacked our kitchen stuff yet and threw away a lot of food because it ended either already being expired or went bad during the moving process so we got fast food every night for dinner...so yeah

@Idkkkkk Also, not all Americans eat junk food. We make our own sour dough bread and pancakes are a rare and special occasion.

@workmanha I agree. We moved again recently and we had junk food for some meals because it was the only option. A lot of our food from when we had our old house just wasn’t able to bring and stuff

@GenMalucci Sorry to tag you again, i just forgot about this. Yea, pancakes are a special occasion thing. sometimes other stuff like monkey bread or cinnamon rolls is also special occasion. i will have pancakes on school mornings, but that is only with syrup and not any special other things. Otherwise, it is ceral like Frosted Mini Wheats, Honey Bunches of Oats and Life for me. W/ toast. Isnt toasted sourdough bread the most amazing thing you have ever tasted?? 😍

@workmanha yeah i think this just shows how much we actually learn about other countries. Like you said, you couldn’t help but laugh. All i know about america have i learnt from the internet. We eat junk food here too. But not as much doe. But we only learn about countries from the 2nd world war and stuff. We don’t learn about about society in other countries. I can remember ONE time in 7th grade where we had to learn about the states in usa. That’s the only thing we learn. We’re not learning about the society in other countries. And i think it’s like that for all schools in the world. America too. A lot of americans don’t know much about europe and stuff. We learn a little bit about society in other countries. But not much. The things i have learnt about society in countries is how rainy it is in england, how much tea they drink, big bang etc. What we learnt about usa is donald trump, the states, what is the states are known for and that you guys are unhealthy. And the basic things everyone just knows about other countries like china, germany etc. We don’t REALLY learn about the society

Americans are lucky to have places like Dunkin’ Donuts, Joanne’s Crafts, holly lobby, sonic, in and out burger, etc, I used to often ask my grandparents to pick up some stuff while hey were there because American stores generally had better selection. Obviously no country is perfect but I see America as one big political country that is super divided and that many people living there could care less about other people (obviously not all Americans are like that). Also like in Canada we can’t freely own guns (at least I think) but in the USA it’s completely different. Oh and the Fahrenheit system is confusing as well as whatever measurement system and the spellings in America are different

@idkkkk Just to clarify...I was laughing about how accurate you were...and yeah same even though I did take a college class where we learned a lot about other countries. I actually was assigned Norway for a country report thingy we had to do but unfortunately I didn't get to finish because COVID hit so my teacher told us we didn't have to do it.
