So, I am in the middle of a bracelet, and I was wondering what other peoples inspiration was to start making them, if y’all want, I can kind of share my story, but what got you into making them?

When I was 8 my dad showed me how to make VERY simple bracelet. Then when I found this website, I did them again. I think imma take a brake from making them tho (I will still be active) my plate has been a little full lately

I needed something to do during when Covid was beginning to hit my country and we all stayed home for weeks.I enjoyed it and stuck with it as a relaxing hobby. |

I started doing it as a way to calm myself down during a stressful time in my life. I'm better now, but it's still very therapeutic and peaceful. 😊

I remember in 5th grade there was this half-day we had in school and we had to choose some sort of crafty workshop to go to, and I chose friendship bracelets. It was there when I made my first chinese staircase. I remember trying to start a business after that selling my bracelets, but I only knew how to make candy stripes and chinese staircases. So that hobby was basically forgotten, but fast forward to the summer of COVID and I stumble across one of Masha Knots' videos. As soon as I saw that video the little spark inside my head went "I should start making friendship bracelets." And here I am today! 😄

My mom used to have this whole craft closet in our living room (like a whole closet with craft supplies organized EVERYWHERE like I’m not even kidding it was so much) but anyways I found some embroidery thread because she let me look through it and keep stuff for myself and on the back it had a tutorial for finger crocheting a bracelet so I did that. Then my friend taught me this bracelet with just square knots and from there I started making them!

Honestly when I was like 8 or 9 I got a peg board and loved it...and then I lost it and still haven't found it and I have moved twice so that is definitely long gone 😂 So I didn't really have access to supplies afterwards so I just forgot all about it until the pandemic started so I started to get into it again. It depends on my mood when it comes to why I make bracelets. Most of the time I use it to calm down or relax. I do really enjoy it though 🤪
