Ok first I just want to say that in my opinion I am pretty good and alpha and normal patterns. I also know how to make all of the knots and I would say that I know most terminology. But I herd about 1-2-1-2 Patterns and I have no Idea what that is. I might have already made some but idk. Also shaped patterns I have no idea what those are or how to make them. If you know can you please give me some examples of those types of patterns and a description! This would be very helpful and I would really appreciate it. Thank You for reading and have a great day!

so a 1-2-1-2 pattern is any normal pattern! all normal patterns are 1-2-1-2, which means doing each row, left to right, one by one. shaped patterns are patterns that aren’t completely straight, and u can shape them to look any way! hope this helped, sorry i couldn’t explain very well

Tutorial for shaped patterns: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/104_the-shaped-bracelet-technique/Examples: #83331 , #82340 , #67635, #34952 I’ve never made a 1212 pattern, but to my knowledge, you just knot them row by row. Examples are #83740, #28635, #44337 , and #33914. 1212 patterns are mainly composed of fb/bf knots |

hey! i can help you with shaped patterns. most of the patterns i have made are shaped, so you can find a lot of examples under my profile (you will need to scroll through a few of my patterns, since my most recent patterns are regular normal patterns), or by entering "shaped" in the keywords section. the basic process of making a shaped circle bracelet is triangle start, diamond, triangle end, repeat. it gets a little more complicated if the pattern is not in a circular/diamond shape or if there are holes in the pattern, so i recommend starting with a pattern like #40777, #49663, or #57823, rather than a pattern like #45533, #49034, or #52947. also, feel free to check out my tutorial on shaped bracelets! anyway, i hope that helps and feel free to tag me here or message me if you have any more questions! 🙂
