im actually finishing gradeschool this year like woah next year im in highschool. Im not sure if grade 7 is considered highschool in other places of the world (im filipino) but it is here. i just wanted to know, out of curiosity and possibly anxiety, what was your freshman/first year of school like?? and if your like me and youre about to get thrown into the sea of homework and procrastination that is apparently highschool, how do you feel about it??(also wow i havent done anything in a long time) |

Highschool is different for everyone and the experience definitely depends on the environment and people around you, but for me high school was awesome, it was the first time where I found real friends for who I knew wouldn't leave me if they found someone better ( I also had some toxic friend but I dropped them after I realized that they are not my real friends) . The schoolwork was sometimes a lot to handle and we learned a lot of unnecessary things, but my advice is just relax and to have a mind set where you don't think that you need all A's ( of course don't fail either but one bad grade is not the end of the world and it can be fixed). Of course there were times where I was overwhelmed with schoolwork or heartbroken and wasn't enjoying life as much as I could have but that will also pass. I also felt that in high school people just cared less about others and focused more on themselves ( way less bullying and teasing then in middle school). Also in my high school there were a lot of cute boys hahah. My advice is just don't take it too seriously, make good memories, don't be afraid to make mistakes you'll learn from it and to have fun!( easier said then done I know) I surely miss my high school! Also I don't know how many years does your high school have, mine had 4 years and it went by pretty quick! 😂

Also just to add I also had anxiety although much more the final year ( and preparing for college) not so much for freshmen year, just know that everyone around you is probably also nervous so you are not alone 😄

im actually to high school this year too & I am terrified 😂but as long as u don’t have to go to public American high school...you’ll be fine |

I did my freshmen year online so. yeah, im a freshmen gonna go to in-person next year as a sophmore

So where I am high school is 9th grade. Technically you will be a freshman, but the work will be the same as if you are in middle school 7th grade. So it should be pretty simple compared to 9th grade high school. I don’t think it will be too stressful.
