I have a huge passion for rescuing and helping parrots. Because they are so beautiful people take them in but offer a really bad diet and they die, many parrot species are now illegal in many US states. If you have parrot questions or concerns please tell me here! I would love to help. But now onto why i actually made this forum topic, I am rescuing another bird and I’m so excited that I will get to interact with another bird, and share the amazing experience again. I was wondering what type of birds you guys own! Some of the commonly known species are: Macaws: Greenwings, Hahns, Red fronted, blue and yellow, Scarlet, blue throated, Military, chestnut fronted, blue winged, Lears, Cuban, Golden Collared, blue headed, Red Shouldered, Spixs, and a few more, including the amazing hyacinth! Cockatoos: Umbrella, Gallah, Sulphur-Crested, Baudins, Eolophus, Corella, Yellow Tailed Black, Tanimbar-Corella, Major Mitchels, and a few others I don’t remember as well. Cockatiels: BronzeFallow, AshenFallow, Whiteface Lutino, (these are mutations) Parakeets, Sulphur Breasted, Guadalupe, red Throated, Tui, Golden Winged, Hispaniolan, Scarlet Fronted, Cuban, Finsch, Olive Throated, Cobalt Winged, Rock, Orange Chinned, Orange Bellied, Blue Winged, Golden Capped, Turquoise, Rose Ringed, Monk and many more! I would love to name all the other ones I know of, but I don’t want this to be super long, although there are so many more that I really want to name! Also, tell me your favorite species even if I didn’t manage to list it! (I know there are so many more, and when I get on my computer I will give a full list.) |

@indaco My favorite species would have to be the Unbrella Cockatoo or the Hyacinth Macaw, both insane and pretty birds that people abuse often. My parrot actually passed away in January because of a sudden medical issue that I was too late to prevent. I am going to adopt another soon though! (Also, don’t worry, I’m not from America either, I totally understood the questions!)
